Good day Ed, are we the club negotiating with inter for Icardi and if so any info you can give us about the negotiation? And also an update on Kramaric would be appreciated.

Guess we're going to find out what Kramaric is all about then. Hopefully he doesn't score against us though.
I was reading a bit more about him and there seems to be lingering doubts over whether he could cut it at the highest level.
Not to try and get in the mind of Mourinho but I would be surprised to see us move for a CM as I think Ramires will play a bigger role in the second half of the season. Hopefully Loftus-Cheek will get more chances to show himself as well as Baker and Ake.
If Varane is being shopped I would see that as our likely piece of business. Varane and Zouma would be incredible going forward and I think it would go a long way to answering questions of CD long term.
Icardi seems to be touted as a replacement for Drogba and I don't know him enough to be able to comment.
The RW spot is something else. I still think Willian will get the nod but I would maybe like to see him in the centre and Oscar out wide. Reus would be incredible but I still don't know.
Is anyone else thinking that we are saving that spot for something big - Like I know it won't happen! but Hazard - Oscar - Messi. or even Hazard - Fabregas - Messi. I have seen weirder things happen.
On a more general note, I have been coming to this site for about 4 years (3 or 4?) and I have started posting more actively I the last couple of months. I know the Eds get a lot of stick from certain people but I have to say, this is the busiest I have seen the site in a long time and i'm really enjoying it again. I also noticed that ours (maybe along with the Man U) is the site which has the post frequent posts. So I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for making it a get place to get information, voice opinions and hear other peoples thoughts.
Bring on Newcastle!!

Have to agree with you George best on CM. Ramires will be a big part now I'd prefer him in the centre with Matic and move Fabregas forward to be closer with Hazard and Costa. I don't really want to see us sign Pogba because I think he's too similar to Loftus-Cheek and will stop his progression. For me Loftus-Cheek should definately start next to Mikel for experience against either Millwall or Bradford. I'd like to see Ake played more but for me our main focus should be on Loftus-Cheek moving forward. He has everything in his locker to become a top player.
I agree that Varane should be priority as Terry isn't getting any younger. His pace would really be an improvement on our centre backs. Although I would like to see us play Ivanovic next to Terry as I feel that's his best position with Dave and Filipe full backs.
As for RW I can't see anything except Willian playing there and as for Oscar he needs to stop going missing during games because it's frustrating that's why i'd rather see Fabregas no.10. If PSG came in with a bid between 30-40 million I'd happily take it. I doubt Messi will ever happen but we've got some good youngsters on loan and in our academy who can do a better job than Schurrle and Salah. Traore, T Hazard, Baker and Boga are the players I feel could do really well. A lot of Rumours that T.Hazard may leave though we need to make sure we get a buyback clause in his contract if he does go just incase.
Completely agree about T Hazard. He has been looking very good. But perhaps, if he is the one making overtures to leave we should let him. As ED002 has said, we won't keep anyone who doesn't want to stay, and if he is wanting to leave because he doesn't think he is good enough - then he might not be good enough.
Excited to see if Piazon would get his chance. I agree with the youngsters though, we probably have one of the best pools of talent in world football. We just need to give them the push forward. I like Schurrle but the more that time goes on I feel like he just isn't cutting it. He doesn't take his chances. I think if we could convince Reus, shop Schurrle. Sell Salah and bring up one of the younger ones that would be perfect. As much as Willian gets some stick, he is a great squad player and if he just had as many games as he did on monday we would be raving about him.
Its Loftus-Cheek I want to see get the biggest push. He could be great!!
Re: Icardi, he scored another goal today against Juventus. a very tidy finish. His movement and playing style remind me of Benzema. Could be an interesting signing (were it to happen).

That would be a great agreement from our part. We've got Drogba and Remy playing well so certainly don't need another striker right now.
Jackson - I certainly didn't mean signing him to play now. that'd be madness! With the impending retirement of Drogba and the potential for Remy to move on in the Summer, I can see Icardi being the back up to Diego Costa. hopefully with somebody like Bamford in the squad too.
Yeah I figured you meant that :) seems like there's a pretty good chance though that we can sign him. Read on the Liverpool page that they'd like to do a deal to raise some funds for other players.
