RLC has shown some humility this week whilst with the U21's. I like the lad, he's a potentially good EPL footballer. I hope he, and his agent, don't go the way of Stirling or Wilshire. Both were lorded as saviours of English football from the ages of 16/17 and at age 20 they bought into the hype and thought they should be the highest paid / guaranteed 1st team players at their respective clubs.

RLC has only let himself down in 1 first team game one day but I firmly believe his progression negates the need to sign a Pogba or Koke this summer - he just need to keep his head on straight.

Totally agree more games next season will help him. That's why I'd prefer us not so sign someone like Koke, Gomes or Pogba. We need a stop gap someone experienced who will guide him.

I agree that he could definitely contribute and in the future be a big part of our team. But if the club can buy Pogba, then they should do it. The club shouldn't let a huge talent like Pogba pass by just because RLC could perhaps in the future be very good. Pogba is already very good and could become one of the best players in the world.
That said, I don't believe Pogba will be sold for a reasonable price so I suspect Chelsea won't be his destination.

Agree with Jackson wholeheartedly. You don't pass on a phenomenal talent for someone who could turn out to be a phenomenal talent. I think it will be tough for real or Barca to get their usual discount on him considering the widespread interest so it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

For me, despite his obvious talent, the valuations being banded around for Pogba make it a transfer best avoided.

As I said Pogba is a talented footballer however this talent is shown off in flashes, it's certainly not consistent. No consistency in Serie A - a lesser league than the EPL, Bundesliga, La Liga and arguably Ligue 1 - is a worrying factor for potentially the most expensive signing of all time. Add to that the fact that he tends to go missing in the UCL against bigger clubs and the worrying factors are starting to add up.

I think j's criticism is a touch unfair. The biggest complaint most had with hazard going into this year was a lack of consistency and I feel many people expect to see pogba absolutely run the show every single game he plays which is tough considering the defensive work he does. And also I think the price issue is very much relative, in the media pogba is quoted at 60m while Gomes price is double what the club feels it should be according to Ed and I'm certain koke would also be extremely expensive. The going rate for guys who are an improvement on what we currently have are going to be in this price range.

Price being quoted for Pogba is around the fee payed for Ronaldo, Bale, James or Suarez. one of the most expensive players ever. All those players, all the players that go for this fee, were consistently excellent for their respective teams before moving. all of them were excellent in a much more competitive league. If Pogba is going to be that fee then I do expect him to run every game in Italy and perform a hell of a lot better in Europe.

He'd be an excellent signing for £30m - but that's it.
