Gents, as a new poster but a long time lurker I have seen that the Eds tend to boycott this page at some point each summer because of unacceptable abuse.

I was just wondering if there was anything you thought we could do to make these pages more the kind of environment where the Eds wanted to interact more fully and openly as they do on other club's pages?

I'd be interested in your thoughts as the information and opinions of the Eds are what makes this site so unusual and compelling.

Can I just say that I have a lot of respect for the regular posters who keep discussion flowing on these pages too.

Welcome Titan

Cheers WheelyCFC.

Welcome, man!! I'm sure the editors are thinking about rules and stuff to possibly implement to stop (or at least lessen) the abuse. But with these sites being completely free of charge for everyone, it's probably not the simplest thing to do.
Keep commenting, mate, and take part in discussion if you want. It's always good to have new posters.

Welcome Titan! I'm pretty sure the Eds have to authorise a post before it gets released on to the website? Can't they just not post the abuse?
I realise they do it so everyone can see what people are saying about the Eds etc. but those few are spoiling it for everyone else! Come on Ed002.there are a few selected d###s on this site but we all appreciate your work and want you to give us your input!
Anyone else with more ideas?

{Ed002's Note - I would rather give anal birth to a live porcupine than provide any transfer information to this page at the moment.}

I think it's fair to say that there are bridges that need to be re-built then Ed002. That's certainly an eye watering response.

I wouldn't recommend an anal birth to a live porcupine Ed002. heard the whole procedure is a pain in the arse ;P

I think the Eds already delete almost all of the abuse. But the fact is then, they still have to read it first so the result stays the same.

Good point Jackson. That doesn't sound like anything we can self-police then unfortunately.

I visit this site daily but post very rarely.
One thing i've noticed is people seem to be fixated on the eds, completely over solicitating them and pestering them with broad irrelevant questions. I would be open to the eds giving one of possible ins and outs once or twice during the window and maybe posting confirmations of deals done. We all know about the player profile facility which is useful. let's keep this site objective and factual when in dialogue with the eds and trivial and subjective when are among ourselves, let's treat other fans and other clubs fans with respect.

You're right, danny. However, this is the Internet, a place full of idiots and the like. Trolls are almost inevitable, especially on sites like this one. It's a shame but that's just the way it is.

Thanks Jackson. I hear what you're saying. It's such a shame that this happens as there seems to be a core group of really good posters on this site.

I was just wondering what makes things happen on here that doesn't happen on the other club's websites.

Anyway, hopefully Ed02 will give us another chance soon and in the meantime the other Eds can still help us out with their views and opinions.
