I can't believe Chelsea Nick said that most Chelsea fans would be glad to see Oscar go, he's a fantastic player who works so hard, tracks back and scores the odd great goal. You also said why was Mata sold, we got £42m for him, and would he genuinely get into our side now? No! I think Falcao is a great signing, not only is he world class but he hasn't cost any money and it gives Bamford another season to prove himself and we will have him next year. John Stones would be a fantasic signing, but I don't think we need another defensive midfielder because if anything happens, we have Zouma who could play there or Ake. But next year I would love to see Bamford, Stones, Traore, Loftus Cheek, Ake playing a big part for Chelsea. The future is bright!

You are correct Oscar is a fantastic player 'on his day' but he does not have many 'days' and again correct he scores the 'odd great goal' but his record of nearly one goal in every five games is very poor and I for one would not be fussed if he was sold. I am also surprised at the number of people who think Bamford will make it at Chelsea. To me he is too lightweight and I personally think he will struggle anywhere in the Premiership.

First of all you're right, the future is bright, and I've been saying the youth need to be integrated slowly. As I don't believe you can just chuck them into a top team.
With Oscar I think you need to actually consider what he provides the team. You're right, he works hard.
Other than that he's consistently poor at keeping the ball, mainly due to his physique. He doesn't provide anywhere near enough assists in my opinion, especially as he's in possibly the best position to provide them. You say he scores the odd great goal - key word being odd, fact is he very rarely finds the net, especially when comparing him to other players playing the same position in big teams.
With Mata I fully accept we got a great fee for him, but is everyone forgetting that was our player of the year 2 seasons in a row? Yeah I know his work rate was poor compared to Oscar, but he did 2 very important things - made assists and scored a lot of goals! He contributed a damn site more than Oscar does!
If we could get £25m for Oscar I'd snap someone's hand off and find someone who can influence a game more, you can't just work hard and have a nice touch and expect to get into this Chelsea side!
We'll see how he fares with a rest and a good pre season behind him but I'm not holding out for much more than he already gives, I just hope I'm wrong!

Chelsea run their transfers as a business as well as starts for the first team. Get talent, try to bring them through and the first sign of not cutting it, put them in the shop window to turn a profit. Marko Marin is an example where that didn't work but they usually do very well. Mourinho offers up his wish list but the negotiations are handled by others hence the frustration you can see with him. Anything out of the Russian league I am also sure is instigated by Abramovich and his contacts; remember Smertin, Zhirkov, Shevchenko and Willian and nearly Douglas Costa. I think this was one of the concessions when he returned as manager and anyone that arrives and fails to last long is probably him getting his own back. Remember Schurrle was not a Mourinho pick but on-going when he arrived and he cleared it but he never seemed as popular with him as he was with the fans.

The Marin transfer was slightly different. it was a chance to buy a promising talent however it was also at a time when we were having our worst league season in years - by winning the CL that season transformed our outlook (and transfer targets) for the following season.
