Looks like United will sign Pedro - have to say I think we've dodged a bullet.

Agree2 Disagree3

Yeah, a five time La Liga winning, three time Copa del Rey winning, two time Champions League winning, European Chamionship and World Cup winning shaped bullet! Who needs that kind of experience in the dressing room - especially when he has scored double figures, for his current club, in every full season he's played for them averaging over a goal every four games.

Well dodged!

Wow, Torres also have a full collection of trophy from perosonal to team. We took that bullet with 50 mil and 4 years of weighting down our budget to reinvest in strike force.

Good experience - good trophy.

When did the team trophy become the standard that we need for a player?

I think you'll find 90% of Torres's winners medals have the word "Chelsea" carved into them.

OK, team honours don't make the player. But you don't play over 200 times for the best club side of the last decade and win over 50 caps for the best international team of that period as a bad player - do you? Do you think Pedro is a bad player? Worse than Cuadrado, Moses, Traore or even Willian?

I could score 10 goals a season playing for Barcelona!

Ur argument is still unpersuasive.

The problem is not if Pedro is better than the wingers we have or not. The problem is that if he would be suitable for our playing style or not.

Here my opinion on Pedro that I posted recently:

- Pedro (Barca) for RM position. At least I know Pedro but he 28 now and he never show me of his man-passing skills. In Barcelona - he play crossing and short - passing. He doesn't play the style we need (and Premier League needs - EPL usually needs a winger to pass a man by speed or dribbling skills - the defenders are also more offensive and knock u down more often than give u space to run compared with the defend style in La Liga). Typical success wingers in EPL is Hazard - Sanchez - Sterling, they built physically to fight again the harrashment of defenders.

Pedro can learn for sure with his professionalism, but he is 28 already, nearly fully developed. Di Maria, who is surely better than him in La Liga also has an unsuccessful season.

Sum up, I don't mean he is not good - but just maybe not the man we need for that position.

In our league he would end up as another Jesus Navas and we do not need that.

Agree to disagree. Suppose time will tell, should he come to the EPL.
