Ok in little distraught and angry at why we didn't make a move for Pedro! Have any of you watched him play or see his highlight real on Google! I am very seriously nervous that we sold Cech to arsenal and look what happened yesterday, yes we won most of the game but scoreboard didn't show and Ramires needs to make those goals! Secondly Pedro is better then everyone we have besides Costa and of Course Hazard I'll put Willian alongside him! Can u Imagine having Hazard Willian and Pedro lining up!
Lastly if mata finds a way to get the ball to Pedro and Rooney with Schwini and Memphis look out for Man U! Defense can only win for so long if we can't score and we can't score again without Costa and Pedro was our answer!

We will be really lucky if Kennedy comes in and then and only then if that's the plan we maybe able to have someone else score for us or at least put the ball where it needs to be!

Sorry to complain but I feel Mourinho needs to stop buying replacements and buy a hit man maybe having costa and falcoa up top can do us well! Let's see it all next Saturday and then the most important game to me Man City which we won two years back in their home!

I'd be shocked if we see Kenedy play a lot of minutes this season. I don't think you should for one second hope that he'll be scoring for us from that right wing :-P
I'm not too fussed over Pedro probably joining United. I'm just glad if Di Maria leaves. When on form he's amazing, so very happy if he leaves United.

Pedro's good but he's not world class. No point having a front three of Depay, Rooney and Pedro when you've got Smalling and Jones as CB's.

Think this is probably our worst window for last 5 years. I think we are going into this year weaker than we started last season. We desperately need another centre midfielder (just imagine if matic got injured!). Willian and oscar also do not offer enough attacking wise so as a minimum we need a new rw. Last season our attack is what let us down and we have signed only Falcao who is a shadow of his former self.

Its nonsensical posts like this that keep a vast majority of ex regulars from posting on the page, and praying for the sanity of 018!

{Ed001's Note - sanity and Ed018 in the same post! That is a day I never thought I would live to see. When Ed018 is considered sane, I think it is time we all packed up and went home.....

Melbourne CFC: Why make that comment regarding Spearce96, I don't always agree with him but it is a perfectly valid statement. Willian 'should' offer more going forward but he has got the cover at all cost mindset which weakens the attack. The jury is still out on Oscar's value given his performances over the last eighteen months. Our attack did let us down somewhat scoring fewer goals than Manchester City and United in previous seasons yet we are perceived to have romped away with the title. Our defence can only do so much and our forwards will need to hit more than mid-70's in terms of goals this season as eking out 1-0 wins is unlikely to work again. Given the money we made from winning we have no excuses not to strengthen the team as anyone who thinks transplanting last years team into the new season and winning the title is probably in for a disappointment. We are deficient on the right, we do need another form of attacking player as Costa's injury is a concern, Falcao is an unknown quantity at present and Remy's languid style is not conducive to our counter attacking play. I still feel Mourinho is moving towards Azilpulcueta moving back to the right sometime through the season.

Actually we have fantastic squad. Can we improve-sure we can. But Chelsea has to think about players who are on loan atm and they are great prospects in the future. Do we need one more CM probably we do, but if sign marquee name we could close the door for MvG and Pasalic. I believe that Mourinho decided to keep Mikel for another season until MvG gets PL expirience so he can become back up for Matic. Chelsea also has to think about Ake since his versatility could be of great importance in the future.
In May I've posted that our main issue will be left back position and that club wasn't focused on that matter. TBH I can't blame the club because we didn't sign new LB since we have to sell to buy. Not from financial reasons, but because we have to make space in the squad.
Now atm Chelsea must sign LB, CD or RB. The rest of the squad is very strong.

My comment was directed at the OP Frensham but I assure you its the ignorance of 75% of posters that keep me away, and I assume many others.

The gromits come out in force every year and run Ed002 off the page. The foreign bandwagon supporters freak out every pre season or Carling Cup game and rip our squad to shreds for meaningless games, and you almost all come on here regurgitating paper nonsense or ask questions a simple google search could find.

Asking for youth to get a run is high on the list, while titles are demanded by Fifa15 fanboys that, as you claim, demand attacking players be bought, while having zero understanding of a league that requires defensive solidarity. The majority will turn on the club, manager or board as quickly as a 14yo schoolgirl turning on her latest crush for eyeing off another skirt.

You're fickle, you're ignorant and uneducated and you unjustly feel entitled to win. You don't. We don't. Learn the history of the club, learn how lucky you are, and learn the sport that you "support", as its painful reading at times.

You're entitled to your opinions, feel free to continue expressing them, but be open to hearing someone elses, that finds yours tiresome.

Ed001 that line yesterday regarding EMS getting off Milner literally had me spitting water on my computer. Hopefully Stoke continue that trend for me next week ;)

The site hasn't been the same without you Melbourne.

04 Aug 2015 16:43:18
Melbourne CFC: That was a sparky reply and I agree with much of ther observations regarding some of the more mindless repeats of a newspaper headline without any effort to dispel or prove it but human nature is about having an opinion and football is one of the worst areas for an opinion and often an obsessive opinion BUT it is called "Chelsea Banter" for a reason; in the main banter about the club you support knowing full well many will disagree with you, Mourinho or the club will not listen to you but you get it off your chest and 'hope' there are others out there thinking the same. I am probably older that most on the site and I fully expect to take a hammering more often than not but I like to read other people's view including the idiots.

04 Aug 2015 17:54:29
I'm sorry to hear you perceive it all in this manner, Melbourne, as I really enjoyed reading your thoughts prior to signing up myself. Hope you'll maybe one day consider posting more frequently once more and hope I don't spout out too much idiotic things in the meantime ;-)

{Ed018's Note - yea it'd be nice to have Melbourne back posting regularly}

04 Aug 2015 18:48:55
Definitely would be, Ed. I tended to agree with him on most things I read from him. It's a damn shame.

04 Aug 2015 20:17:23
Last time Melbourne posted was almost year ago.
Melbourne how is the weather in UAE?
One more thing, majority of posters are just a kids and plastic fans, hopefully you understood that.🙋

A bit harsh antibot. I keep reading that there are only 25 to 30 hardcore contributors which for a Club Chelsea's size is not that impressive. It is certainly has its obsessive fans, 'Chelsea can do no wrong and don't criticise my favourite player' type, the articulate fan who tries to put forward reasoned comments and the lazier type that quote every newspaper headline and hope others solve his concerns and there are possibly a few fans from other clubs who like to cause mischief. However, all that means it is not always the most welcoming site to new people as sometimes the obsessive fan let's rip with a response clearly saying "you are an idiot, no idea what you are talking about and these are the true facts" which makes me think there are few kids; plastic fans being those always quoting headlines without any thought.

That's why we have so many people obsessed with Pogba and Griezman.
Personally I am mainly interested in tactical approach and realistic improvements. I am also interested in our transfer policy which is sometimes fantastic like summer 2014 or disaster like summer 2013.

05 Aug 2015 09:07:35
Antibot: Surely Pogba and/or Griezmann fit the bill for a club like Chelsea as realistic improvements rather than all the deadwood that the papers spew out and sets everyone talking; most of those that have appeared where just paper and agent talk and highly unlikely the club would even consider them. My reference to 'obsessive' is the so called contributor that will never have a bad word said about the club or his favourites. I don't think anyone would disagree with the recent in and out transfer years and that is why there has been an element of panic in the last week with comments as we do appear to be taking a laid back approach. I say appear because I cannot help feeling there is something in the pipeline.
