Montero isn't a bad player, but he shouldn't have been allowed to torch him every time. Montero just breezed by him every single time. Imagine what the top wingers will do to him. Depay on the left with Shaw overlapping, how do you think that would go for him?
Ivanovic needs to up his game on the right or perhaps be moved to the centre of defense. Still early days so lots of time to correct his mistakes, but with City next weekend we have to be better in defense.

Guys have you been watching Chelsea last two seasons since Mourinho is back. If you really did you wouldn't write such a nonsense. Or you have 0 tactical knowledge. With Mourinho wide defence was always protected by wingers not backs since our backs always played 5-10 yards closer to our CDs.

Nonsense, if the winger plays next to out line there is no one to guard him if our winger is not coming for aid.
You are all talking about Montero, I haven't seen any comments how Ayew played or Gomis who was probably the best Swansea player.

And ed001 Montero didn't past ,Ivanovic he was moving behind him. Anyone who saw our games against MU would know how to go around Chelsea defence. To do, that you need cm with good passing and good wide player(winger or wingerback).
{Ed001's Note - so how is that down to Jose's tactics? Which involve players sitting deep and not allowing anyone to get in behind....}

It's not only his tactics, Man.City are defending similar. Dense back line works perfectly against majority of teams. Against some teams it doesn't work. But when Montero got tired or when Shaw became tired it didn't work against Chelsea with Young for instance.
Don't worry will not past around Chelsea's defence.
