Hi all, thanks to the Eds as always for the site.
First time poster on this page, Manchester United fan for my sins.
Just wanted to get an idea on what the Chelsea fans latest feelings are about the medical staff situation. I've read below various comments about your prior feelings e.g. wouldn't be as high profile if she wasn't a hot woman etc.
However, with the recent evidence suggesting both Hazard and the ref signalled for medical attention not once but twice, how do you know feel about the general conduct of your manager?
I am not (for my own reasons) a Mourinho fan and this latest episode in the long-standing TV show 'The Chosen 1' I find disgraceful. It is beginning to look like he will have to make a public apology as the unions will be on his back next NOT because she is a she but because of her role as a doctor.
Look forward to hearing your unbiased/realistic responses.

Lady doctor or male doctor it doesn't matter. It's a bit embarrassing that this is being dealt with in public. Mourinho should never of made the comments he did after the game, if there was an issue it should have been dealt with in house. Then she would never of posted on Facebook and the Chesea pantomime wouldn't have started after just one game!

13 Aug 2015 13:52:53
Its a non issue. I think its far more telling you manager and club does not have a woman as the head of any department.

13 Aug 2015 14:37:00
YES Melbourne, I would love to see a ssn stat related to that! conspiring idiots

13 Aug 2015 14:43:01
Mourinho probably would've done better by indeed handling it in house, but it's happened. Carneiro posting on fb regarding the matter also was a very dumb thing to do, so that didn't help. I've been reading in some places that Mourinho's discontent with the medical staff has been going on for longer than just this weekend, but apparently it was the final straw.
I don't blame the doctors for going on the pitch, if they indeed were signalled then by all means. But both parties should've handled it without the media involved.
As Melbourne said, it's a non issue. If the club aren't happy with a particular asset or department then they have the right to alter it. But claims of sexism etc with regards to Chelsea Football Club are idiotic to say the least as one of the most powerful people at our club is a woman.

13 Aug 2015 15:04:42
Very well said Melbourne and interesting that Man U don't have a ladies team either!! Now it would be nice to see ssn pick up on that? Are Man U as a club actually sexist?

13 Aug 2015 15:13:47
Originally I felt her treatment was harsh, but I do think they are trying to jump on the female victim bandwagon. Also someone else said there was more to it. Ie social media, which it appears is something they are not meant to venture onto if mentioning who they are and there link to the club.
But as normal Jose says something in the heat of the moment and the press are there turning it into something so much more.
As for the united supporter on here venting his spleen, he should stick to his own club who I do believe will rue the day they employed van gaal.

Hi Jackson, good post.
I totally agree about the sexism stuff, it's not relevant to the situation. However, Mourinho has handled this badly and I disagree it is not 'an issue'. Unfortunately 'idiots' and various other types of character exist in the real world, media and unions and they will make a big deal out of this. If the ref and/or Hazard have signalled to the bench for medical assistance (regardless of what 'history' there is between manager and medics) then Mourinho has acted disgracefully. Really very poorly and he will regret it, because this will be dealt with an as isolated incident and it looks bad. Will be very interesting to see if he makes a public apology, I think he has to, but Carneiro may still leave the club.
Oh and Melbourne, just for the record, this isn't about me, any other club or you I'm afraid to say so try and get over yourself there's a good boy. This is about a mistake your manager has made, and what will happen next.

13 Aug 2015 16:36:05
Agree with pretty much everyone else. Should've been dealt with in house. I wouldn't be surprised if Jose did it as a way to take attention away from the teams performance before this huge game.

13 Aug 2015 16:47:26
'Jose knows best' and 'Whoneedshistory' hope you are both well. I'm concerned you have mis-read my original post. I clearly stated that this issue has nothing and should have nothing to do with the gender of the team doctor, so I would appreciate it if a) you didn't put words in my mouth so to speak and b) took a bit more attention to detail in your reading.
It's a shame you cannot unbiased stance on this one like your fellow supporters. It really is simply down to your manager making poor judgement. This has nothing to do with a companies recruitment policy, please try and understand and see sense.
Cheers all and look forward to seeing how this one turns out.

A mistake my manager made? Really? My club certainly doesn't agree so, as he hasn't been punished.

He simply made a statement, being upset with the medical team possibly costing us the game by leaving us a man down, late in the game. The medic has then gone against club protocol and made a statement on social media. So who's in the wrong? Or did he just break the shackles on the PC world you live in, and your noble self can't cope?

As this isn't about me, you or any other club, why do you feel the need to pass comment? Feel free to crawl back to your page at anytime

Wow, Melbourne I guess I touched a nerve eh? Good stuff. I mean really, well done. I'm afraid you are wrong again though. Jose has made a mistake and he will probably be made too make an official apology. Your club will not fine him, certainly not, and certainly not publically. I'm struggling to see here why you have got so defensive though, as you have already said it isn't about you. No way did the decision cost you the game, not at all, although it remains to be seen. Stick to the facts, Mourinho spoke out of turn and unprofessionally. In my eyes that's a mistake. In yours it isn't. End of. Apologies if something I've said has caused you emotional stress.

13 Aug 2015 18:13:47
Incredible, giggsy comes here in peace to talk sensibly about a relevant topic, and he gets jumped on by someone raving about sexism. We're sexist for not having a ladies team but you're perfectly in your rights to have a go at someone based upon which football team they support, that wouldn't be prejudiced of another kind would it?

Embarrassment.

13 Aug 2015 20:57:22
In hindsight it'd obvious that Eva didn't have a choice in the matter but Jose's rant on the touchline was done in the moment and the interview afterwards he simply explained why he was shouting at her and Jon Fearn. If that was where it all ended then I believe Jose would have apologised.
However with her posting to facebook, which was likely a breach of her contract, probable underlying issues with regards to treatments of other players and the media storm in the wake of it all, I doubt he'll apologise.
The majority of the media storm has revolved around the fact that she's a woman though. 90% of the articles I've read with all the medical associations etc lambasting Jose don't mention Jon Fearn at all. Not sure why the unions will get involved with a doctor being shouted at really.

13 Aug 2015 21:16:00
Great to see Man U people on our page talking about such a big issue which means so much to them! Wow, I'm utterly amazed! Enjoy yourselves boys.

13 Aug 2015 21:41:19
He's come here in peace?
He's clearly got a problem with Mourinho in general and wanted to make a point more like. If you want to talk about how not to treat people as a manager let's bring up yours?
Van Gaal's treatment of both your goalkeepers (De Gea and Valdes) has been a disgrace. He called out Valdes stating he wasn't professional and refused to play for your ressies.well we all know that's a load of rubbish. As for De Gea, either tell Real Madrid he's not for sale and put him in goal or name a price and sell him. Absolute joke.
Back to Mourinho, don't even bring Eva Carneiro and gender in to this. He's publicly criticised the "medical team". At no point has he ever singled out Eva Carneiro. Fact is the male Physio is also being criticised under the umbrella of the term medical team.
Thing is I agree with you to a degree, Mourinho probably should apologise, I thought it was uncalled for and should have been dealt with internally, but don't come on to the Chelsea rumours site saying you're coming in peace and then slagging off regular posters like Melbourne. I personally wouldn't even go on to Manchester United page.your club don't interest me in the slightest!!

13 Aug 2015 21:41:46
Jackutd, while I do agree that apparently a lot of posters on here are a bit hostile towards United supporters who come on here (which I don't really understand as while I hate United I rather like engaging in discussion with other teams' fans), your post isn't going to help matters right now. You're simply inviting more hostile posts.
I stick by my opinion. I don't see this whole story as a real issue to the club. It's only the medical department and there are lots of fantastic doctors around. I just wish the media wouldn't jump onto anything and turn it into something to criticize Chelsea. It's getting really tiresome to always be painted as 'the bad guys'. And say what you want but you all know it's kinda true :-)

13 Aug 2015 22:28:42
KingGiggsy you would have to try much harder to strike a nerve mate, I'm just laying out the situation. As I said, its a non issue. Its people like yourself who try and jump on anything that doesn't adhere to your PC way of life, that have turned this into something it is not.

The bloke said something. He didn't kill anyone, or directly target any individual. He didn't take away someones match day duties, he doesn't have the authority. The club did. Feel free to feel agrieved and to write on all the message boards about how hurt your feelings are and that its a travisty and Jose should be punished. When push comes to shove your opinion is meaningless on the topic. Do apologise to Jack for us, I wasn't aware your lot were such a sensitive bunch of blokes.

14 Aug 2015 09:10:25
Melbourne thanks again for your reply and I'm delighted I'm giving you something to keep yourself busy with.
Interesting now how you are relating the managers actions to crime, again I'm not sure where you are going with this. As I've tried to say time and time again, your manager has made a mistake. In any profession regardless of industry if you openly critic another employee unfairly then you should apologise and will be 'spoken to' in some capacity about your conduct.
Finally my opinion is meaningless? Forgive me again, but isn't this a football rumours site of which this is the banter page? Apart from posting opinions, rumours etc just what exactly do you think this site is for?! Hopefully in your next response (of which there will 100% be one) you find something appropriate and relevant to say instead of trying your best to be just offensive.
P.S. Apparently my opinion does matter, scroll up pal.

14 Aug 2015 09:57:17
I have to say, for a bloke (I assume) who said this wasn't about me or you, you certainly seem to enjoy yapping about me mate.

Its pointless continuing this with you though, as you seem unable to grasp the information being presented to you and its becoming fairly evident you just want someone to talk too. Which is fine, and usually I'd be happy to oblige, but you seem a little too precious.

Jack seems to have that in common with you though, so maybe take it up with him. At least you'll feel justified that I replied.
