Irrespective of the sending off we looked poor at even 3-1. The defence was again all over the place although I thought Zouma played really well. Personally I don't think Fabregas is worth his place and I finally have to concede that Willian could be running out of time. I don't think this tippy tap football is going to win us many games against an organised defence; WBA's defence was poor but we hardly tore it apart. Might be me but there are a lot of issues to be resolved.
{Ed018's Note - I think Fabregas needs to be in a 3 man midfield. He needs another strong dynamic midfielder in there to make up for his lack of defensive quality}

Wouldnt say we played that poorly. Hate to jump on the bandwagon but its the same players underperforming again. West brom had most of there success down our right hand side against Ivanovic. Something has got to give there! Willian missed another easy chance. A much better performance overall though especially offensively with costa starting his season and pedro looking lively.

Frensham, you say we hardly tore them apart, but we should've scored a couple of goals more really. Hazard with a great chance, Costa as well. Willian should've finished his and Falcao could definitely scored his chance. Plus we played with a man down again for 40 minutes.

Jackson: You hit the nail on the head, "we should have" but didn't. That is what I meant by 'tore them apart', they were there for the taking and stroll in the second half.

What do you expect to happen when we are down to 10 men, 8 minutes into the second half Frensham? Attack all out? What if we conceded again and drew? Would you have then said we should have been more solid?

Melbie: My comment re: tore them apart if that is what is being referred to was in the first half where their defence was full of holes but we failed to capitalise. Regarding the second half I thought we battled well and played as one would expect. I don't think the defence looked solid with full compliment; we haven't suddenly become bad defensively but to me they look jaded and a pace too slow. As you rightly said, three points is three points but it will be a long season for Fabregas if we have to dig out results like that each week.

Three goals granted and it got us a win but a ricochet, defender sneaks in and a well taken Costa goal and I can hear "a goal is a goal" but we should do better than that. I am sure every one including me are happy with three points but we are not playing well and I think most people know it.

It's not just 'a goal is a goal' it is capalitalising on opportunities that were presented to us. And I have a snealing suspicion that if Azpi hadn't of scored, it would've been a penalty.
