Ridiculous transfer strategy. We seem to be doing the rounds knocking doors we know they are shut. Close the shop for this transfer window and make a plan for the next one. Nothing is going to happen now.

Mourinho's comments about 'no panic buying' is an insight into his involvement with transfers. He said when he re-joined that he accepted the transfer policy, he would indicate who or what he needed and others did the deals. Interesting also Juventus losing their second game after losing three key players pre-season which gives a glimmer of hope that they could do with big money to finance some transfers. Let's hold our breath a little longer!

Ridiculous post. Make a plan for the January window when no-one will want to sell unless the player forces their way out? Still plenty of time to do a deal, Pedro and Cesc both came out of nowhere remember! Have faith!

CFCFOREVER: Not sure which bit you thought ridiculous. The quote today from Mourinho or the fact we are attempting to get Pogba with a day and a bit to go. On the assumption it is the latter, a bit defeatist. Hopefully your 'out of nowhere' players don't come back and haunt you; Fabregas now running to form by not turning up, the only bit of running he does and Pedro I am pretty sure will turn out to be another Jesus Navas/Lazar Markovic. If anyone can swing a deal to keep us going forward Granovskaia can. With a day and bit left you must have faith!

Magic: I agree it is terrible but to me and I made it clear at the time that Pedro will not turn out a saviour. He is quick but not built for the Premiership as per Navas/Markovic. Navas is an impact player, no more and Markovic never even had that distinction. I would love to be proved wrong and obviously hope I am but I am confident I won't be.
