Can't help but thini that Wolfsburg have won out selling De Bruyne for £54m and signing Draxler for £26m. There isn't much difference in quality, and where Citeh will likely see zero return if they resell KDB, Wolfsburg leave the door open to possibly double their investment.

I was thinking the same thing, Melbourne. Draxler has had a difficult last few seasons with injuries etc, but he's still very young. And his talent is undeniable. If they give him the sale role as they did KDB, i.e. a free role on the pitch, his impact could be huge!

I don't see why City wouldn't get resell on KDB? He's 24 isn't he? And even in a season or 2 , he will still be worth 40 million + , maybe more

You just proved the point. 40m is less than 56m. The asset has depreciated. If I lost 15m in 4 years I would be kinda sad. Not exactly how it works but I'm guessing the player don't increase in value anymore. When was the last time city sold for a profit?

Thanks Marley. Seemed blatant enough. Plus his fee was most likely well over £60m when you add on agent fees etc.

Even if he performs well, one bad injury within the next 2-3 years his value instantly decreases.
