Makelele would improve anyside past present and most probably any future ones too, the best of the best by some distance.

Makalele is a great shout, I'd have to say Lampard or Balladk just so we'd have a threat of some long range shooting. Must be worst in the league for goals scored outside the box. That's why I've always liked Barkley as he pulls the trigger.

Ballack or Essien. Has to be a midfielder who can shoot from outside the box.

The thought of Essien and Matic in the same midfield wets the appetite. I'll give anything to have a player of his mould in the present chelsea team.
