This page is so depressing. Time for another break from posting lads. I hope you're all far more positve and objective people in real life and don't approach the world the same way you 'support' Chelsea. When it suits you. Would wish everyone a happy rest of 2015, but its painfully obvious you lot will be whinging long into 2016

Cheers mate thanks, come back when we get back in the top 4.

Oh come on, Melbourne :-) I know you're right, it's been negative on here recently. But that's to be expected a bit, no? The results have been bad and the Premier League is always hard so a bad start is even worse in England than elsewhere. I'm sure it'll get better, both the results and the atmosphere on here. I hope you'll reconsider your stance in the near future. And if not, take care of yourself, mate. And enjoy the games in the meantime :)

This is exactly my thoughts, I'll have a look occasionally but the amound of negativity is just driving me crazy

{Ed018's Note - in all fairness, there's not much to be positive about other than it's still early in the season}

It's bound to be negative, the team are playing poorly, individuals have gone off the boil, the attitude with some seems suspect and at times the team selection is worrying given the appalling season Ivanovic is having. ANYONE currently posting on here positively would need certifying. We all want to make positive observations and contributions but very difficult when there is wholesale failings so far with few positive signs of improvement. I am wondering if Chelsea's transfer policy is flawed as we know Mourinho indicates this and that and others do the deals as I think we are being mugged. Fabregas was known for fading, Barcelona made the comments about his half season performances and we bought him and his legs look totally shot to me. Pedro with a Euro150m buy out clause is snapped up by us for a knock down price and his performances make me wonder why we ever bought him. Rahman £21m+ cannot get on the bench sometimes let alone the pitch. The defence are being impacted covering Ivanovic, Matic likewise with Fabregas alongside and with ineffectual Pedro and the constant Costa worry the front is becoming sterile. Not that I am moaning of course!

Frensham, were you one of the ones complaining about us being boring last year when we won the title?

No offense but you seem to be one of those guys. Never satisfied.

Hazard54: Not me,I only joined pre-season but was a frequent viewer. Having supported Chelsea since April 1955 I know better than most about supporting Chelsea, a club that has always turned success into failure very quickly for what ever reason and I and others are concerned. It is a guess only but using Hazard in your nom de plume would suggest you have only been around since 2012 when he joined and if you cannot find anything wrong with the way we are going about our football then you should start worrying about yourself not me or others. What can you possibly be satisfied with? We are shambolic everywhere currently and as a banter page everyone including us is sharing their opinion; does Mourinho check this for tips, of course he doesn't but true supporters keep an open mind about everything, good, bad and ugly. You are not a true supporter of Chelsea Football Club if you cannot accept criticism about the players, team or club. A question: we won the league last year comfortably BUT from Christmas were you really happy with the football we played; forget eeking out results but the quality of football?

Have nearly always welcomed Melbourne CFC's comments as voice of sanity and much enjoyed most of Hazard54's comments too. But am with Jackson and Frensham on this topic -- and have been a supporter since late 1960s so seen plenty of ups and downs (literally!). Frensham right that the ups have often not lasted as long as most think they should. So the 'whingers' are trying to think of things that should be fixed with current team -- even if it already does have so much talent and likes of Willian, Ramires and quite a few others had pretty decent games last night. Problem has been getting a whole team performance and bit of backbone back/leadership - yes, and Bran being so much below previous form - and what to do about this.

Don't think this is whinging personally, though perhaps Pommies who live under grey skies aren't temperamentally as upbeat as those who live in beautiful sunlit Aussie cities!

I agree with a lot of what frensham is saying, not about hazard54. As however long he has been a cfc supporter is irrelevant. We are all entitled to our opinions.
Back to original, I agree as I also feel the team is suffering covering the under performers. Ie ivanovic is impacting on the rest of the defence. I agree I worry about cesc, his form is poor and he is increasing matic work load, pedro has been at best average. I still feel if Jose is not prepared to play baba that loa aina rb Dave lb zouma with jt. The reason for jt he maybe slower but is a leader and we are missing that. I also feel willian is one of the players who are having an impact.
IMO the team for southampton should be.
Begovic
Aina/Dave zouma jt Dave/baba
Ramires matic RLC
Willian costa hazard
At the moment I think that gives a better balance of youth and experience.

JBS: You were doing so well with that comment until you ruined it with the last sentence. Remember, Aussies are the result of dysfunctional English stock!! If you are a late 60's supporter you probably missed one of the great Chelsea teams to disappoint badly, Osgood, Cooke, Hudson etc, a team that was head and shoulders above the others but just could not focus beyond a nightclub.

Fair point Frensham but thought it might cheer Melbourne CFC up and get him back on page.

Yes, did see that CFC side. When not too hungover (them not me. well.!) was superb to watch. But all too often players when off the pitch to keen to help promote image of "Swinging London". Bought the record of Blue is the Colour sung by team in run up to the unfortunate League Cup final v Stoke in '72.Could perhaps do with a Chopper Harris type in current squad, though if anyone played in physical style of those days would of course be sent off pretty quickly. Saw a calculation somewhere that in first of 1970 FA Cup finals CFC v Leeds of 1970, a modern ref. would have sent off 9 players of combined teams!
