We need a bit of stability at our club so I strongly hope that Jose stays, in the long-run it will be far more beneficial than sacking him. I think that both the club and Mourinho agree on that. As for the players they need to be told it is no longer the manager who gets the sack at this club after poor performances, but them. For too long now players have had too much control and power. As much as it pains me to say it, but that's the brilliance United had under Sir Alex. Every player knew they needed to perform for him or otherwise it would be them leaving, that's why he could get the best out of average players and achieve consistency. I think the problems this season started with the lack of investment in the summer though. I know that the club spends a lot of time and effort regarding each transfer target and will not spend for the sake of it, and previous windows have been conducted extremely well, but I think after you have won the league it is worth paying over the odds in order to secure targets. Bringing in no players means the players feel like the don't have anyone challenging them and are safe in the starting XI no matter how badly they play. Pretty much every key player for us last year this year has under-performed whereas players such as Willian and Oscar who were arguably fighting for their places last year have provided the few bright sparks this season. Loftus-Cheek and Rahman need to be starting games at the very least for us now replacing Fabregas and Ivanovic whose errors have contributed to most of the goals we have conceded this year. Another thing that I strongly disagreed with was Mourinho's treatment of the chelsea doctors. I posted on the page straight after the incident saying it was needless and would cause a distraction plus bad press and it duly did. Our target now needs to be a top four finish, plus we are still in the 3 cups so anything can still happen in those. What other chelsea fans need to understand though is that we are lucky to support such a great club and we don't have a right to win something every year. If we don't win anything this year I really couldn't care less for all the great times my club chelsea has given me plus there is always next season! KTBFFH

Whilst I don't quite agree with every aspect I have to say that is an excellent post MB1. Passionate but realistic.
For any true, long term supporter your last two sentences says it all.
