Wouldn't it be refreshing if we lose to just say we wasn't good enough I'm board of blaming the refs linesman ect, what ever the score I think Liverpool have been better than us.

Agree2 Disagree3

That's what I have beer trying to say for weeks now!

Honestly before their second goal, Liverpool were not better than us. Yes they dominated possession but rarely created anything that worried us. Have we played well? No, far from it. Has the referee decisions had a massive impact on the game? Yes.

At least 2 Liverpool players deserved yellow cards in the first half and didn't get them. The ref then end ups adding around 4 mins of extra time in the first half in the end instead of the 2. And finally, he fails to send Lucas off. If the ref had made the correct calls, we wouldn't be losing right now.

Just leave the ref alone.

Leave it out, Fuser - Liverpool had 82% possession at 30 minutes! We were out-played - embarrassing.

So what? They had that in their title challenging season against us and they lost that match.

Just accept we were out-played - if we keep making excuses, the ref, the linesman, Costa forgot his lucky frog, the coach driver got lost on the way, the videos went missing etc etc etc, nothing will ever change.

I do accept we were out played. I said we were poor. But just because we were poor, it doesn't diminish the effect the woeful refereeing had on the game. I don't blame the ref for us playing rubbish football.
Honestly I'm fed up of slamming poor referee decisions. But they happen every single game. And if you don't think that it doesn't have an effect on the players then you're on another planet. What player is going to want to go out there knowing the game will be decided by the referee. Or knowing if they're fouled the opposition won't be carded.

{Ed001's Note - so would that not be the same for Costa? In any other game his kick on Skrtel would have been an immediate red, yet it didn't stop the Liverpool players or affect their attitude. So why is it different for Chelsea players?}

That depends on whether Clattenberg saw the kick or not. If he saw it and didn't give anything then I agree that he'd have been sent off in any other game. If Clattenberg didn't see, it then in any other game it's likely the ref wouldn't have seen it either and therefore he still wouldn't have been sent off.
You're talking about a solitary decision that went in our favour, which one could argue wasn't even a decision if the ref didn't see it. The reason it's different is because there have been 3/4 major decisions pretty much every single game that have been poor. They're not even 50-50 decisions but pretty much cut and dry situations where the decision has gone against us.
Lucas had committed 7 fouls by the time he fouled Ramires and yet he wasn't sent off but Mikel gets a yellow card for the first foul he makes and arguably all of Lucas' fouls were worse than his.
The point I was trying to make is that in general even the small or insignificant decisions are seemingly going against us and when that continues for several games, it does start to effect players.

Matey you realise added time is for both teams yeah? It's not just an extra 25 seconds (! ) for Liverpool to score while Chelsea go to the changing room. Suck it up you can't keep blaming others. Watch Australia's captains interview after losing to New Zealand in the biggest game of his career and compare it to your child of a managers. You're fast becoming a laughing stock and because of this attitude people are enjoying. Good day sir.

Fuser, compare skrtel's reaction to costa's kick and Chelsea players reaction to the Lucas incident. Skrtel just went on with his game and when it came to the Lucas incident all Chelsea players go mental thus losing plot. Something I always outside your control and as a player you have to accept it. This whole thing of refs are against your team is an intoxication by Jose to the players and unfortunately it is eating up the fans too. If your players can start getting on with their jobs maybe you will see some improvements.
