Well that has to go down as one of the stranger substitutions - 1-0 up with 10 minutes to play and we substitute a defensive midfielder for Fabregas! This just after Stoke had taken off a defensive midfielder and replaced him with Bojan!
Also, is there anyone else who is not totally convinced by Courtois? He so often pushes the ball into dangerous areas after a save.
On the positive, Ivanovic is a revelation as leader and centre-back.
Ps how did we miss out on Imbula - what a beast of a player?

Have to agree Courtois has been poor this season before and after his injury. Baba Rahman as to take a look at himself and take some responsibility for his left back position. To far forward then meanders back lazily, which drags the centre back across to have to cover leg a gap in he middle.
Lots of work for Conte to do in the summer.

Totally agree, what a bizarre substitution. Fabregas cannot even fake a tackle. After every games he plays I raise the waste of money with Rahman and today just endorsed the fact. NOT an answer for us. You have to hand it to Ivanovic, the lad has come back fantastically and really looks settled in the centre. Controversial comment it maybe but it would not surprise me if Courtois left. I was never convinced he really wanted to come back from his time in Spain.

Well, that's why I was in favour to keep Chech and sell Courtois for big money to Real Madrid. We've lost so much by letting Chech go. Some players are psychologically extremely important for the club and that's something that board should take care about.

Also think the stuff about Thibaut going back to Spain is nonsense. Real will sign DDG in the summer and Atletico have Oblak, Barcelona have Bravo and also potentially Ter Stegen. He like a lot of the squad has had a poor season, but nothing more.

Thank you CFC, finally someone that reasons. Wonderful performances last season heck even this season he has had great games albeit not to ofen but still easily one if the best keepers in Europe and never suggested he isn't happy here in fact you can see how much he tries and how much he wants to improve . The man has a couple of bad games and every one loses their mind.

If they don't sign DDG Real will turn to Courtois. If MU didn't trick Real they would be all over Courtois last summer.

How are people on here blaming Baba for yesterday? Yeah, he wasn't back for their equalizer because Willian lost the ball in his own half. Everyone is pushing forward at that point because they're expecting Willian to start the attack. Willian is at fault for yesterday's goal. Cheap giveaway cost us, along of course with Clattenburg's ineptitude. Baba had a good game IMO. Shaqiri found no joy on Baba's side of the pitch.
That said, Stoke played well and they have a very good team.

Really agree with Jackson about the goal, that was entirely down to Willian. As far as courtois goes, I firmly believe that he is the absolute last member of this club that I would let leave.

Courtois hasn't been as good as last season, I'll admit that. But I thought he was great yesterday and I definitely wouldn't blame him for the goal. He'll get back to his prior level. He had a bad injury and returned to a team in freefall. That can't be easy. He'll be back :)

Courtois is the future for many years to come. To let Cech go the club obviously thought he is the better option longterm. For one year we had the two best GK in the prem. 2 into 1 does not fit, so one had to go. I personally think they made the right choice.
