Watching Leicester play today it went into my kind that we had 2 similar things last year, a proper dm who helps all team around (defense especially) in Kante (our matic last season), basically lad is invisible in the game but does so much work.

And magician in Mahrez (Hazard of last season), the guy is unreal.

If we had them both in our team this season we would be definatelly challenging for the title.

{Ed001's Note - they also have a strong work and team ethic, unlike Chelsea this season and a striker on form, again unlike Chelsea. There is a lot more to it than two players playing well.}

Leicester also attack with pace and play balls in behind the defence - 76% of Leicester's goals this season have come from long balls. When was the last time we played a ball behind the opposing defence!

Fabregas tries a few if Costa feels like running in behind.

Ed 001's post says it all, its a team game. And Mrs Costa, so you want Big Sam as manager?, long balls all day long in behind the defence? Hasn't got his teams far has it. I'm predicting that Leicester will be another Blackburn, a one term wonder. having said that, I hope they win the EPL this year, their team spirit and commitment has been amazing but will not continue into nexzt season.

Kiwi, I'm not saying we should always go long but we should mix it up a bit. Our attack is soooo slow in developing.

Agreed Mrs C re the slow developing, however we're playing with 2 dm's and Mikel invariably plays backwards rather than forwards. What happened to the days of Makalele when we played 1 dm (and still leaked the least goals) but our counter attack was quick and concise, hence putting the opposing team into reverse, rather than how it is now where we give them time to reorganize, which then let's the opposition stifle our midfield attacking threat when they get a pass from a defender. Our title winning team of 05/ 6 had that fast transition, our present team does not. This is why I feel an addition of a Koke rather than a Greizeman would serve us better. Whilst I agreed in letting Lampard go, we have not replaced his ilk in that he turned and played fwd therefore creating space and chances for his midfield to feed the attacking players before the opposition could reorganise.
I'm sorry for the rant fellow fans, but I'm feeling frustrated! And Mrs Costa, I value your posts, I think maybe with the quality of squad available we should go to the "don't care how many you score, we'll score more" approach we had at the beginning of last season. Wow, I could go on, I won't lol.
