There's been a lot of talk about a summer clear-out and what us fans want to happen, so I thought I'd outline what I think we should do in the summer this year and the next.
Formation 4-3-3.
2016/ 17 Squad:
GK: Courtois, Begovic/ New Keeper
RB: Azpi, Iva/ Youth player
LB: Rahman, Ake
CB: Iva, Zouma, Terry, Manolas/ Bonucci / New CB
DM/ CM: Matic, Vidal, Pjanic, Fabregas, Pasalic, RLC
Forwards: Costa, Icardi, Traore, Griezmann, Willian, Pedro, Kenedy

Players bought: Vidal, Pjanic, Griezmann, New CB, Icardi
Players sold/ released: Mikel, Oscar, Cahill, Pato, Remy, Falcao, Hazard and possibly Begovic if he wants to leave.

2017/ 18
Players sold/ released: Iva, Terry, Pedro, Fabregas and Begovic if he stays for 16/ 17.
Players brought in: Christensen, New Keeper, and then one or two signings to replace the outgoing players with the rest being filled by youth players.

{Ed002's Note - Christensen almost certainly will not eb at Chelsea next season.}

By next season do you mean 16/ 17 ed002? I'd meant him brought back at the end of his loan in the summer of 2017. Thanks =].

{Ed002's Note - OK - not convinced you will see him then either.}

That's a shame. Looks to be a potentially great player plus he's HG which is something we're lacking.

If Christensen doesn't come back at all then the loan system has failed. Why do we it?

{Ed002's Note - Don't be ridiculous.}

Shame about christensen although that does seem to be the vibe you get from musonda as well that once they get and enjoy first team football they're not overly keen on the idea of coming back.
Anyone see the game yesterday was it as bad as it reads in the reports only plus i can get that RLC played well. Really hope Conte integrates the youths next year and gets rid of some of the deadwood we've got.

{Ed002's Note - Borussia Monchengladbach has spoken with Chelsea with a view to buying Andreas Christensen, and although they don't want to sell they know that he does not wish to return to the reserves. It would not be a surprise to see Chelsea suggest to the player that after another season away he might be seen as the replacement for Gary Cahill, but they will not be making any promises.

And there is no "deadwood" at the club, there are players who were part of a championship winning side last season. The only "deadwood" is morons like you who want to disrespect the players.}

The problem with the loan system is players get their heads turned as they get minutes on the pitch and I totally understand that. They are professional footballers and want to play. Christensen was not deemed ready so we loan him, he does well and suddenly, not only the club we loaned him to but others as well want him. Lukaku was the same at Everton. Courtois reluctantly returned to us and may now head back to Spain. I hope Musunda doesn't go the same way. My opinion, but I don't like or agree with the loan system.

G8: My issue with the loan system is where we loan players to. To me the best place is the Championship or smaller Premiership clubs where there is an intensity every game. Christensen may well be playing like a star for BM in the less competitive Bundesliga but that does not mean he would be a star in the Chelsea team playing in the Premiership. There is also the attitude of players like Lukaku, De Bruyne and Sturridge who everyone complains we let go too easily but Chelsea Football Club will not tolerate players dictating when and where they play and that attitude problem is almost certainly a large part of why they were sold. Christensen's father is/ was his manager and after his successful youth career he is telling Chelsea that his son will not play in the reserves; what do you think the outcome is going to be?

I think it'll be something like this:

I'd play Azpi LB as he's much better there I think and I'd probably loan Rahman as he needs playing time. I'd sign Coleman as a RB who has impressed for years and he could also play as a wing back under Conte and he's HG. I do think 4-3-3 is the way forward though.

GK: Courtois, Begovic, Beeney
RB: Coleman, Aina
LB: Azpilicueta, Ake
CB: Zouma, Bonucci, Terry, Clarke-Salter
CM: Fabregas, Nainggolan, Loftus-Cheek, Matic, Diawara, Colkett
AM: Willian, Hazard, Traore, Kenedy
ST: Diego Costa, Icardi, Abraham/ Solanke.

Conte has used these 3 variants in last 5 years including 2012 champions league against chelsea.
3-4-3;3-5-2 and 4-3-3

I don't think he is going to change this all of a sudden.

The players targeted and those who are retained would be somebody who will fit into these formations. Also we would need 5 centre backs to rotate keeping in mind the formations.

Any team has to be 'formation adaptable'. In his first spell Mourinho was a master at changing a game with his restructuring if things were going against us, less so in the second spell. I am sure Chelsea and Conte have laid out exactly what the plan is and we will not endure the pain of last season hanging onto any rumour thrown our way. Already Conte is supposedly after so many players we will be fielding a completely new eleven for the first game! Because of his Euro 2016 commitment we will strike early and get our deals either out of the way or down to just price so we can hit the ground running. I am sure he knows what we need from what he has seen and been told. The only name from last season that Chelsea have put up I am sure is Anton Griezmann. ONiM-: That team of yours will haunt you until the first game.
