I'd love to Kasey Palmer given a game before the end of the season I think he has all the attributes to make it. He's fast can dribble and something we're lacking he can shoot from distance. He seems fearless.

Great result for the youth team think that's the first time a youth team has retained the european title.

What was pleasing, we met a team almost physically our equals and we handled them well. However, the transition from youth football to EPL is vast that is why I believe our loan system for those we have high hopes for, involves Championship teams not nondescript European teams and leagues. They will be tested week in and week out with the intensity and physicality of football matches which will sort out the stars from the ordinary.

C1915 you remember that bamford was superb in championship but couldn't get a game time at crystal palace.
{Ed001's Note - to be fair, he wasn't superb in the Championship, he was average, at best. I really do not understand what anyone saw in him as a player. I never understood it when you bought him off Forest either, he lacks the technique required.}

It's amazing how things work out though isn't it. I think Harry Kane went out on three different loans and he was terrible Tottenham give him a chance and he's not far off world class now.

LRDlt: Exactly what I was implying. He 'appeared' to have an eye for goal but we got and so did the Chelsea management, a good look at his overall performance and he clearly was never going to make it at EPL and sadly that is the case. If we had stuck him in the Dutch league he could have been prolific and we brought him back for no end result. Personally I always thought he was lightweight and lazy. The Championship is very physical and high intensity competition, just what emerging players need to sort them out as many peak in their youth years and never make that final step.
