Someone teach Alonso how to finish! Awful first half with one moment of sensational quality, second half we dominated and deserved the win. Moses, Luiz and Costa were all superb.

I think we need a faster player in the same possition as Alonso. don't get we wrong but think if we can have a player with the same qualities as Moses on the leftside then we will be unstoppable.

Alonso is a squad player. has done a decent job but nothing special.
But we don't have another lb atm to replace him. I'd play William there . why not . moses isn't a defender but is doing superb.

Alonso has been great so far this, didn't even play that bad today . Now people are suggesting replacing him with Willian or Traore? Laughable!

Thats not what i was saying. just putting it out there that we need some backup for when the day comes. Alonso has been doing a awesome job.

Alonso is the best we have but has not been good enough to deserve that spot. would like to see if kenedy or ake could make it theirs with alonso as back up. (I know they are both on loan just thinking of the future)

For now i think Ake has a bit more experiance in the league but i like Kenedy for his pase and ball skill. Alonso fits for now but i'm hoping we see a few more players that's on the bench in the 3-4-3 so they can get use to it.

Yes he is playing well but he's nothing special to bring the club forward. You must agree. He's not world class. We have had better lb backs that we have got rid of. Luis and Bertrand.
He is doing a good job atm and hope it continues but we can do better. It's being said after every game from the pundits.

Yes Kennedy is a good shout. Looked good left back could look even better lwb and more freedom.

How many " world class " left wing backs are truly out there? I can think of two, maybe three in Alba, Marcelo and possibly Bernat and none of them are going to be available for transfer.
Alonso is not on their level but I believe he has performed extremely well in his very short Chelsea career and can only improve the more games he plays. You are forgetting he has been a major part of a defence that has conceded just the one goal in 7 matches now.
I don't understand some of the slack he is picking up on here. You say he isn't world class but then neither is Victor Moses playing at right wing back but he is receiving rave reviews each week and performing extremely well so I fail to see your point.
