Firstly, you know me, always positive and glass half full. Now to get to the next level. I do think we need at least 2, and probably 3 ball playing, technically gifted centre backs who can bring the ball out from the back to ensure we don't get penned back like we did, to a degree, against spurs in the first half. Luiz is awesome but to move to the next level we need at least one more with his technical talent, Christensen in the summer (hopefully), but I do think we need one in January to go to the next level. Bonucci would be perfect.

Rio Ferdinand basically said the same thing, he blamed Cahill and azpilacueta, he said they are our are week links when playing out from the back, and they panicked and just kicked the ball away and it kept coming back first half, if you have good defenders who can pass and are good on the ball, you can play your way around a 3 man press and start a good counter attack, all the best teams play from the back.

Dave should never get sold. Superb defender. Poor guy has been played out of position ever since he joined chelsea and always done a great job.
I personally don't think dave is our weak link. Cahill would be my first choice if someone would be dropped. On the other side since we moved to to 3 at the back Cahill has looked more solid but I do think our defence I still missing something.

Think Cahill is not good enough anyway and I am sure conte will get rid asap. Dave is probably best suited to the wing back roll, as discussed before.

Yeah we've been rock solid the last 6 and a half games, the 50 previous we were shambolic, I think if we can bring defenders in who are better than we have we should do.

I think if we are going to sign a CB then ideally he should be left footed with a decent amount of pace.
