I have to say not for the first time this season I'm very impressed with ake, both with the ball and without the ball, it's a no brainier that he has to come back and be in our squad next season he ticks every single box there is, he's left footed, can play left side of a back 3, can play traditional left back, can play left wing back, can play dm, he's very good on the ball, he's only 21 will get better and better, he can read the game, can tackle, he's a goal threat, already on our books, as far as I'm concerned if we sign a new defender come January or the summer then it's a very very stupid decision and a total waste of money, and will send a huge message to our youth team that they have no chance, we can add christenson into that mix as well, forget sule and the others we are linked to we seriously got 2 of the best young ball playing centre backs out on loan, let's just bring them home in the summer get them in and amongst the first team squad!

Have to agree with Christensen and Ake we don't need a defender. Go big for that game changing Right forward we need.

Absolutely, Ake should be called back from loan. Maybe you didn't notice but Conte already brought back Kennedy. One of those two guys will definitely get the chance.

I have also always liked Ake and the left side is a worry for me. Alonso fits the bill going forward albeit he is not the quickest but links well and has a superb shot but defensively he gets caught out far too often and once again is slow getting back.

The thing I like about ake is his ability on the ball, he can step out into midfield, it will give us balance as we scored yesterday from azpilacueta stepped out and have a great cross, Cahill or any other right footer could never do that from the left, honestly if ake played for Bournemouth full time and I seen him play this season I would want us to sign him, zouma, christenson, ake, we defiantly don't need another defender.

I have to disagree with you c1915 on Alonso, we need an attacking LWB but Alonso isn't that worrisome. in fact I really appreciates his understanding of the game and reading of gameplay. what more will you ask of him? you only get to see his flaws when matic isn't on the field. good crossing, good positioning, better aerial abilities than any left back I have seen in years and maybe we are yet to appreciate his spotkick abilities. he is slow but his strength just like my great captain can make up for that.
