Great win. Now need to play the first team against Sunderland to set the record of 30 wins in a season and keep the momentum going into the cup final. Willian was outstanding again, must keep him at all costs. Young Chalobah looked fantastic and IS READY. Batsy is worth keeping. Sadly, Zouma is not a footballer, great character, beast of a defender but on the ball he is poor. Ake was poor, needs to learn to defend, not good enough. Kennedy's last game probably. Huge gulf between first team and rest.

rubbish. ake is brilliant player tht needs time.
Batshuayi is not particularly great . poor first touch n can't hold the ball.
hate when people watch one game n judge a player. get behind thm not slate thm.

I was at the game and ake and Kenedy had great games. Kenedy worked so hard and rarely made a mistake, he can't defend and is not a wing back but he is very good on the ball and ake can defend. What are you on about? He made last ditch challenges successfully so many times. I know we conceded 3 goals but you're not saying Terry can't defend, he was at fault for the first goal and was too slow to catch up for the second. Our defence played pretty well, no idea how we let in 3 goals.

I was pleased we played the youngsters and I was very pleased with all there peformances.
Kennedy suprsed me and he could save the club a lot of money this summer, he looked a good alternative to Alonso.
I thought Zouma had a very solid game and I now think he should stay in the squad for next season.
With the likes of Christenson and Lewis Baker in the squad, I'm not sure the club will spend as big as some pundits suggest.
A lot depends on players who WANT to leave on who we sign!

Strange how we all see different things in a game. I don't see any future at Chelsea for Bats or Kenedy, Bats being no more than Championship quality. Chalobah has one of Loftus-Cheek's tendencies, ambling but if that is knocked out of him I prefer him to RLC. I think Ake fits into the squad nicely, calm with a nice left foot but not at full back. Willian was superb I just wish the end product was better; with his work ethic I think he would make an excellent wing back. What a difference when Kante plays and his passing improved.

Bats is not championship level, I'll admit his touch isn't great and he can't hold up the ball as well as Costa, but he's only young, and inexperienced. If he doesn't get better by next season, I agree, we should sell him but for now we should give him a chance because whenever he's called upon he scores.

Cfc17: He's 24 in October, cost £33m that is not young if a player is going to make it and the fee. well! He is the same age as Harry Kane and I would take him over Bats. Personally, I think we will cut our losses as we need more firepower up front if we are going to progress in Europe. However, as I said, five people with diverse views of players and the game.

I agree with you with the different views of the game, I think the reason is that ake and zouma are young so they can get away with mistakes, almost expect it from them similar way to John stones I suppose, because in all fairness if either of them was 26 years old and we signed them we would say they had a nightmare last night, the 1 goal was both of there faults, zouma was way out of position swung a leg at it missed the ball and jamat ran passed him with ease, then ake let him come inside when he should of forced him to the byline, hopefully learning curves for both, we must let them off because of there age, we have a tough choice to make because this morning we are linked again to van diyke, and he's 25 years old and prob in the top 3 best centre backs in the premiership, the problem I see is both ake and zouma are 22 years old, zouma 23 in 4 months time, over the next 2 and a half years will ake or zouma really get to his level by the age of 25 years old, will either of them become top 5 best defenders in the league?, its a possibility nobody knows really, so the gamble is trust the youth who could or could not be class or sign 1 of the leagues best centre backs who is available at a great age could keep him for 8 seasons, and keep him from joining a league rival, or trust and pray that 1 of the youngsters become top top quality,

dooesnt mean much but the best touch of the game was from bats.

Of course the game is about opinions but I'm always right!

Comparing Bats to Kane is just silly! It really is!

Kane practically plays every minute of every game he's fit. Kane got a shot when Adebayor and Soldado were the clubs front men, and playing awful. He took that chance. Bats has had an on fire Costa to try oust this season, that's near on impossible to do.

Bats first start in the league was last night. If he gets a decent run of games, then we can start to compare, but right now, very silly comparison.

dihanio: Have to disagree I am afraid. Kane got his chance and took it, Bats has obviously not shown a great deal in training to Conte so gets bit parts and still has shown nothing out of the ordinary. At 23 Kane looks Premiership, Bats at the same age does not. He is young but not a youngster and we will almost certainly buy one or two that would sit ahead of him. However, it is all about perception, I don't see the fascination with Christensen whereas many here think he could be our saviour.
