Personally I don't rate Traore as much as most people do on here. He's been good in flashes but his decision making is terrible and his end product is poor.

Agree3 Disagree3

The fact that he is playing in final says enough. He scored 2 goals against Lion in semifinal. Both Traore and Abraham are amazing prospects.

I rate his team mate though that davison sanchez looked class tonight.

Weird how people see different things in the same match. I thought Sanchez looked pretty horrible mostly, while Traore looked like Ajax' only attacker that belonged on the pitch.

{Ed001's Note - I thought that too. Sanchez looked like a player who had let the occasion get to him, Traore just looked wasted on the right. Though I did get bored of watching Jose's kick and rush football, so probably wasn't paying the closest attention for the full 90min....}

Yeah it was quite a dull game. United were able to comfortably deal with Ajax' attack as nearly every Ajax player looked overwhelmed. Sanchez apparently gave away one pass in his own half every 5 or 6 minutes. He was just horrible in his positioning (a few last ditch tackles won't change my mind) .
Traore though looked better than I thought. His on the ball play when put under pressure was really good. It's just that his teammates didn't do much to help him.
That De Ligt guy looked pretty good though, especially for a 17 year old.

{Ed001's Note - Ajax were well beaten to be fair.}

Once United got that lucky goal off of a deflection (after a throw in by Ajax straight to United *facepalm*) I knew it was game over. I didn't think they'd play that defensive though. The goal by Mkhi could've also been ruled out for dangerous play (as Ajax later on got something similar called for a foul) .

Yeah of course, they didn't pose much threat to United. But I think it could've been a much closer game if Ajax didn't concede that first goal, as it was so easily preventable (throw in give away, plus a stupid deflection) . But of course United were deserved winners.
It's a shame we didn't get Roma or Spurs in the final against United. Those would've been top games.

{Ed001's Note - not sure they would have. United bore the pants off me. I don't think it mattered who they got, they would have defended deep and hoofed to Fellaini. Wimbledon's Crazy Gang relived....}

But at least those 2 teams would have the quality to actually make United pay for inviting that much pressure. I'd imagine Roma or Spurs would be able to take the lead, and then United would've had to actually commit players forward. The "early" goal killed it last night.
