Hi Ed,

With the recent news that Chinese Super League Clubs that are loss making having to pay the value of the Transfer Fee to a Development Fund in addition to the Transfer Fee itself for Overseas Players, will this scupper any potential move for Diego Costa to move to China?

If so, does Costa have suitors in Europe that are both willing and able to match Chelsea's valuation of the Player? If not would Costa be prepared to sign a new Contract with Chelsea?

Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - No impact on Costa and only Atletico has shown an interest. Nothing has changed.}

I may be wrong but I think he will stay regardless of the Chinese tax, I watched him celebrate behind the scenes and he was the life and soul of the party, his body language doesn't look like a man on the move, all this supposed him wanting to leave could have been a knee jerk reaction to last season, him thinking he won't win titles at Chelsea, I'm probly wrong but my gut says he's stays and signs and improved contract.

Do you know what Cat i've been thinking to myself the last couple of weeks I've got a funny feeling Diego will stay here.

Well I just looked at the latest transfer odds and I know it's not etched in stone but he is now favourite to stay at Chelsea and 8/ 1 to join atleti, we need another striker regardless of what happens with Costa next season, just him and bats won't be enough in all competitions, that's under the assumption that Abraham goes on loan and traore plays wide right.

Do you guys actually want Costa to stay, if I'm honest I don't. He's not consistent enough and he messes up a lot of opportunities. Don't get me wrong his finishing is great and his hold up play is excellent but I'd prefer someone like morata who can run into space and start a faster counter attack and not lose the ball as easily. Just my option, would love to hear yours.

Underestimate Diego at your own peril, how long did it take us to replace Drogba properly? Yes he's not a complete player but his strength suits the premier league. Take away his goals and we are nowhere near the same team.

You don't want Costa to stay cfc17? Are you crazy? One of the best strikers in the world.

I think he's perfect for our system. Tremendous defensively, good hold up play and interlinking. Only real issue is consistency in play and seemingly constant headache off the pitch.
