I don't believe the Rumours concerning Aubameyang, Belotti or Morata. We are no longer a side that throws money around and all of these players will command huge fees and big contracts.
The Aguero rumours are either a slow news day or Chelsea leaking rumours to get the Fans a buzz like Arsenal do pretty much every Summer knowing full well it cannot happen.
I think We will end up making a late offer for Benteke who won't come cheap but cheaper than the others We've been linked to and on a significantly lower conteact which will seal the deal.
It won't be as exciting as Aubameyang but He's a solid Striker and We could fo worse.

If we don't sign a top class striker (aubameyang, belotti, morata) we can forget about having much success this season. In my opinion we need a top striker (one of above) and another back up, be that Benteke, Llorente or someone in that tier. As I've said before in my opinion Michy has to stay. So come September I'd be happy with one of Aubameyang, Belotti, Morata. With Michy and Llorente/ Benteke as the back ups.

Bobby I agree, When replacing Diego Costa We ideally need to be going for a proven high quality Forward that's why Aubameyang would be My choice. I'm not concerned about how His sell on value will decrease etc.
But I'm not convinced Chelsea are even considering Him let alone about to make an offer, I think the same applies to Belotti and whilst I think Chelsea have some interest in Morata, I don't think it's anything more at the Fee Madrid will demand.
Benteke certainly won't make Us stronger but it's just who I think We'll wind up with.

Why is it that, for the 2nd summer in a row, we are left scrambling around looking for players when other clubs seem to do their business early!? I know that we have to take what the media says (especially about Chels) with a very large pinch of salt but if there is any truth that we are haggling over £3mil with Real for Danilo, then someone on the transfer committee needs shooting!

Absolutely LRDlt, it is only My opinion. I have that opinion based on various factors but I don't profess to know anything about Our Transfer Dealings.
It's just a hunch and one which I hope is wrong.

I totally agree with you on the Aubameyang front. If he costs 70m with little re-sale value so be it. We need a striker who is going to bang in 20-30 goals a season, and that could and be the difference between ending the season with or without silverware.

That's how I see things Bobby.
When Chelsea sign players other than really Young Kids I am thinking about the impact they can have in the First Team in the next few Seasons. I'm not thinking about how much We'll get if We sell them or what happens if they flop etc.
I appreciate these are genuine concerns for the Club though.
Aubameyang appears in footballing terms to be the most accomplished striker that appears to be available rite now and He would be My personal preferance.

Morata and Belotti are not top strikers. This summer there were only 2 top strikers PEA and Lukaku. Belotti will end up at AC Milan for 30-40 m€ max. Morata will stay as a backup striker in Madrid.

Morata could be a top striker if given the game time and his scoring record to minutes played is very good plus he is versatile, with PEA we would find ourselves without our striker during the African Cup. Sadly there does not appear much enthusiasm from Morata to join us which leaves us with Bats for the friendlies coming up and unless we pull our finger out, the start of the season. We do not need Benteke, Llorente would be ideal as cover if we fail to sign any of our main targets but just who were those 'main' targets? Given the early decision with Costa Conte must have indicated who he wanted but to me we are srabbling around for someone.
