A bit far fetched to say "bottom".
To be honest he won't make it in the starting 11 with Bakayoko's arrival and he probably doesn't fancy sitting on the bench given his age and has probably made his intention to move quite clear.
I doubt it's Chelsea forcing his hands to move and it's seem more in line with the fact that whoever doesn't have the right attitude to fight for the cause will have to move on.
Conte is stamping his authority which is what we have needed for years. Doesn't matter who you are and how big a star you are but nobody is bigger than the team.

£50m or £40m either way it's to much! Theses Utd fans that are convincing their selfs that they getting a top player are going to be in for a shock. These people who rate matic are the ones just judging him on his debut against city his only top class game
I love conte getting out average players matic Mikel Oscar is refreshing.

This seems incredibly similar to when the club sold mata to them following his tremendous year. He's a good player and will perform well in a midfield three but he isn't mobile enough for a 2 man midfield. When you combine that with the fact that he's 29 (this week) and has 2 years left on his contract (with no hope of an extension) and it makes sense for the club to sell him. If it was the matic that we saw from January 2014 until March 2015 that would be one thing, but for whatever reason he hasn't been the same since the Ashley Barnes tackle.

Matic had more assist last season than any Man. Utd player and that's statistical fact. We didn't sell him we lost him which is much worse.

TK i have to disagree with you on Mata, the guy was poor class (and loved Chelsea so much) but sadly Mourihno fell in Love with oscar for unknown reason (as mata was twice the player Oscar will ever be) and decided to let him go.
Just look at the amount of assists and goals Mata provided each season, the guy was the top player but Mourihno fu**ek his career up big time.

So, we love Mata and are happy to have Matic. He isn't flashy but he will protect the back four and let our flashier players do their thing.
