I guess it is public knowledge but I've only just found out that it's very likely we will be seeking a temporary home for FOUR years.
Subject to approval we will be able to play at the bridge while initial work is carried out.
We then move out and then will probably not return until 2024.
I can't say this this makes me happy but I guess we need the extra capacity to be competitive for the future.

You will remember the work at the Bridge in the 70's and 90's and a team never seems to play well with half the ground closed or in unfamiliar surroundings. We are supposed to move to Wembley Stadium which should suit our style of play BUT it is not the Bridge!

There are pros and cons with Wembley. The negative is that playing at Wembley is always a big thing for opposing teams and players and they raise their game accordingly. But the promise of being able to offer Wembley as a home for 4 seasons would attract every player in the World. Still a nightmare to get to / from though.
