What a laugh, aye? Typical that everyone's moaning about Conte, someone who won us a miracle league last year, however less people are moaning about the board which is the real problem.
Who in that team, was Contes first pick? Bakayoko? Alonso? Zappa and Emerson? Drinkwater?
Time and time again a manager pulls the rabbit out of the hat and we half back him, until it fails, and then sack the manager. I'm not saying he shouldn't be sacked because if we do hire A new manager who isn't someone like Luis Enrique, we have a good chance of picking up a title next year or even this year if Conte goes.
It's a common trend now with Mourinho and Conte, two of the best managers in world football; getting pissed off with the board. Yes they both have their flaws and made some bad decisions but if the board just got them the players they needed, maybe this wouldn't happen.
We need to stop signing average players, we've now missed out on Sandro for the equivalent of Baba Rahman. Barkley is no good (and no I'm not judging him on his two games for us, I'm judging him on his career) Bakayoko is one of the worst players I've seen at the club. And rudiger just looks as awkward as zouma? We bought rudiger off an injury but wouldn't keep zouma off an injury? It doesn't make sense.
At this point Courtois, Hazard and Kante deserve better.
{Ed018's Note - it’d be interesting to see if someone here could drum up some info on what players Chelsea could’ve bought for close to the amount they spent on these players everyone is complaint about. I mean it’s quite clear Chelsea are not gonna spend and pay salaries like the Manchester clubs so this is kinda what you get}

Standard I agree with the majority of the stuff that you have typed. I agree that the board should have backed both Jose and Conte following title wins. We should have spent more on quality than quantity hence the reason many of us here are baffled with our transfers theae days.
Anyway let's look at Conte in isolation. He hasn't got what he wants but does a team like Chelsea with the players at our disposal draw 5 times, lose twice and win twice in the last 9 games. Surely our squad is better than the form we are showing. Surely we can't blame the board for that? And its no good saying the board have pissed conte off because end of the day he is still being paid.

What on Earth has Rudiger done wrong I think he’s been solid personally.
{Ed018's Note - I’d agree. Rudiger has been fine for a player who doesn’t get picked regularly. No complaints there. Arguably deserves a run of matches over Cahill}

I think from all the signings, rudiger has been the best. His quality. I like him a lot. Morata has been average. Drinkwater hasn't played enough. Zappa has been average to poor. Baka has been awful in every sense of the word. Him and Cahill should be locked away somewhere.

Didn't Conte know that the free spending Chelsea version is over. We clearly don't want to spend silly money on players anymore.
If he is not aware of this then, I guess he did a mistake by joining Chelsea. Should have chosen Manchester city or PSG or real which he might do in summer.
However constantly moaning and bitching is not helping anyone. He is constantly saying work, improve, work but in reality he is always making thinly veiled comments at the board. his tactical ineffiency is coming to show now. I remember one of the Eds perhaps Ed 01 or 02 commented about this tactical ineffiency before. This is clearly been vindicated.
After Arsenal game he said he only had Barkley as a option. Just think how it would sound to Barkley and how detrimental it is to his confidence. Come on the guy was injured since May. Not to mention he didn't trust Mushonda or any other junior players. Last night a 17 year old boy showed he has more desire and character than rest of others barring hazard. Why not look at the loan army so as to induct few into the squad.
Last night he gave a comment that he is already overachieving with this squad of size and quality.
How bizzare and cringy that sounds. If this is the attitude of the head coach then I wonder what would be on the players mind. Sack him now or we will risk top four.
