Congratulations to the youth team on another remarkable season. They blast Arsenal 7-1 over two legs to get the Youth Cup, and today won in very convincing fashion against United in the competition's final.

Hudson-Odoi looked a level or two above United's prodigy Angel Gomes. We've got an astonishing talent on our books, people.
Reece James in defense never looked troubled, and he's had an exceptional season also captaining the side.
Dujon Sterling is already a top class athlete, and pretty damn good footballer as well. Tailor made for the wingback position, and I'd argue he should've been given chances instead of buying Zappacosta in the summer.
Billy Gilmour is another big big talent. Not true academy bred as he was bought from Rangers last summer, but still has great potential.
Today was played without two of our most fantastic talents as well, as they were without Trevoh Chalobah and Ampadu.

Some fantastic talents are coming through right now. We need to use them.

Let's not forget that Billy Gilmour is only 16 and he's playing well enough to be called up for the Scotland U-21s.

You have to remember that most of our youth players are big and strong and powerful runners BUT when they hit their 20's everyone else are their physical equal and suddenly the game is something totally different. Loftus-Cheek is a great example of someone who was very powerful in his youth days and then he suddenly finds he is playing in more organised football and everyone is as big and powerful as him. All those mentioned above I endorse as real potential but they need to be nurtured not continually told how great they are and of course they are only 16 to 18 years of age. Few of the so called 'stars' that have been mentioned over the years have gone on to set the footballing world alight for one reason or another.

I would like to give a shout-out to Mason Mount who could surpass all of the others. The future's Blue.

Yea MDW, Mason Mount has done really well this season at Vitesse (winning their POTY award), I pray he remains humble, patient and hardworking. I believe Chelsea has great plans for him and Hudson Odoi.
