No worries, was clutching at straws asking anyway. But the idea of Zola being director of football or assist, what would ya thoughts be on that. assistant, yeah, knows the league and club legend and can relate to players. DOF . not sure about that at all, what experience has he got that role? If there’s any truth that is.
{Ed001's Note - as assistant manager I think he would be excellent. He is a very good foil between the manager and players. He is very well liked, trusted and has experience of both roles to help him act as a go between. He is also a very good coach.
As a DoF? There I would have my doubts. It is a totally different role and I think the same things that make him struggle as a manager would hold him back there.}

Are there any names discussed for the DoF position, Ed? It seems to have died down recently, with the only named banded about being Zola and Ballack.

Agree mate, any truth in those Zola rumours, was reported he has been allowed to leave media duties and return to England Wednesday.
{Ed001's Note - I do know that the story has supposedly come from friends at BeIn Sports that he told he was needing to drop out of some work for them as he was talking over a role at Chelsea. Difficult to track that back from here though to find out if it is true. Qatar (where BeIn is based) are not exactly on good terms with the UAE, so it can be difficult to trace anything back.}

Hey Eds, I read about the charity match for the nurses. sounds like it was a lot of fun. Well done to the winners and awesome support that you guys received. Im in a different country, but if i was there i would have played or donated. Stay blessed brothers.
