Love how pundits are righting us off already, saying we'll struggle to make top 4. We've added a world class midfielder to our squad. We look to be keeping Willian, Kante and Hazard. We've got youth around the squad in Odoi and Ampadu. Plus RLC and Batman returning.
Perhaps one or 2 more players to improve the depth if players are moved on.

Loving the positivity from some at the moment! The key to this window was surely keeping Hazard and Kante at the club and getting Kante a top partner for CM and it looks like we've achieved this. Happy days for me. I'm more than happy for City and Liverpool to get all the attention as we always play best after we've been written off! Wasn't expected to win the FA cup final last year- won. Written off in Conte's first year after defeat to Arsena and Liverpool and we go on to walk the league. Anyone remember the 19th of May 2012? I certainly do.

Heard a rumour today that Sarri spoke with Michy Batshuayi assuring him that he's in his plan. Heard nothing of such about Giroud- does Sarri really fancy Giroud?

I don't really see the positive yes I'm happy about the signing we made but seriously man city where miles ahead of us last year you think 1 signing is going to make us contenders he's not a goal machine we will be toothless again next year compared to city I feel looks like we are the new arsenal or spurs now actually that's not fair to arsenal they actually invest in there team again.

Have to remember this is still the core group of players that have won 2 titles in 4 years. Yes City were brilliant last year but so were we the year before and look how we played afterwards! Biggest key was signing an attack minded manager and keeping our star players which is exactly what's been achieved. To suggest we don't invest in our team is plain silly Doug we've wasted enough on mediocre players the last few years maybe the board are only looking to sign top quality. Remember it's about quality not quantity.

If teams actually attack them this season there defence will get found out. They're good but not unbeatable.

the club spending money on mediocre players isn't a sign they want quality it only highlights the problems with the club these days they don't want to invest top players cost easy 60-80 mil we will end up with Aaron Ramsey for 30.

we got kante before football lost its mind i. e neymar and mbappe transfers since then all prices have sky rocketed I'm not saying there are not Baggins out there but since when you need a postion flled you have to fill it look at Liverpool prime example in my opinion looking at the rest of top six they will be city's only real challengers.
