Are you guys enjoying the way we play? What are you thoughts on possession, easy on the eye or boring?
I prefer watching this as we have the ball and it’s Moreno entertaining having the ball than not having it playing super defensive but I think I still prefer a good fast counter attacking style.
I feel we will improve though and we’ll speed up our passing play. Hopefully good times ahead.

The styles good but not right Ayers at the moment and my fear is kante is one who could be replaced. Jorginho is the deep player who dictates Sarri style. And although kante presses like he wants he doesn’t offer a lot going forward, m that and for his near and tidy play Kovacic doesn’t get assists or goals ( hence why Madrid loaned him ) that being said like Sarri said it’s the movement that’s sometimes missing. Willian I’m 90 min ran behind once and had a chance and absolutely messed it up. Pedro suits us so much better because when he hasn’t got the ball he is moving, creating space for others and pulling and stretching defences where as Willian stands and wants to face his opponent, so my conclusion is until we can get a bullying goal scorer a winger who’s has a footballing brain and goal scoring man in the middle we won’t be challenging for a title, the idea of sarri football is so good and in time we will be a force, Bertrand traore showing us what we’re missing now as playing as wide forward, So my conclusion mate is right players and Sarri and the style are impressive.
{Ed001's Note - I have never seen the point in Willian as a starter. He goes missing far too often when he is starting games. He would be the one to be dropped for me.}

You can’t say Madrid sold Kovacic because of goals they had Kroos and Modric and them two hardly score either.

It’s staggering to see Pedro’s moevment all the time, never flat footed, even when not near the actual okay he is a problem. West Ham actually looked like they’d stopped marking Willian as they knew he wasn’t the threat, what do you think of the links to Mitrovic ed?

That’s sort of the point king frank. you have Kroos and Modric . if there not working then you bring on something different. a goal scorer. If u want a goal u wouldn’t take one of those of for Kovacic would you. and with us we have jorginho kante and Kovacic . roughly how many goals each one average a season, kante 1/ 2 jorginho who took penalties 5-10 maybe Kovacic hardly played I know but 5? Add that to a striker who plays more for his link up than goals and another who is low of confidence then all heaps on hazard for goals.

I do agree with you there I’m hoping mason mount may bring that next season but judging by how Sarri has frozen out Ampadu and Hudson-Odoi after impressing pre season I don’t hold much hope. I was gutted summer before last when we never beat Bayern to Tolisso. He’s a perfect all round centre mid and has one hell of a long range shot. Shame we ended up with Bakayoko.

I thought same until ed had mentioned those two boys are still at school so I can understand, we’ve had few bad bad windows and have so much to clear out, Emerson drinkwater Bakyoko willian Pedro ( not young will need replacing ) Cahill luiz, will all need selling end f season / January so we need to invest in Sarri players, once we have more time under Sarri we will be fine, mason mount is a top player, next season I’d like him to get Prem league loan, don’t want a RLC where he is in squad every week but doesn’t play,

If anything the three main players who should leave are Cahill, Drinkwater/ Fà bregas and Moses. All either not good enough anymore or haven’t got the legs. These three are halting. Ampadu, RLC, Mount and Hudson-Odoi’s development.

Completely agree on Willian. Really don’t rate him too highly think he’d be much better in a midfield three as a ball carrier.
Pedro is great for the wing, we really need another inside forward who can make runs.

Pedro has really flourished under Sarri but I have never felt he lasts 90 minutes. Willian has the talent but for some reason whether with us or Brazil, he just cannot maintain any level of consistency and personally I would have been happy if we had sold him. I am surprised about some of the Kante comments as I think he is being played wrongly, he should be patrolling the first two thirds of the pitch not pushing up into the final third and I don't think he is happy doing that, I would rather see Kovacic given that role. No doubt however that we need an attacking forward brought in.

Spot on Ed001, you are right imo Willian shouldn't be starting. I feel Sarri saw him from afar (and didn't really know his weaknesses) when he demanded that Willian should stay. If Sarri wants a very effective high pressing game, then Willian shouldn't be his man cos his strength, persistence and endurance isn't like before; unless he improves.
If Pedro is fit, I will play Pedro ahead of Willian.
