Happy New Year to the Eds and posters :-) Wishing everyone good fortune in 2019.

Also hoping Chelsea can solve, or at least improve the dreadful striker situation we've got on our hands currently. Any good news on that front would be quite welcome, Eds :-P.

{Ed001's Note - Happy New Year and I am very sure there will be a forward or two on the way.}

You already lifted my spirits with that, Ed :-) Should certainly be possible, and we certainly have a promising one with a knack for scoring on loan at Villa. Tammy at this point would be a better option than Morata, but it's a shame the club don't seem to look internally for options as well as externally.

Anyways, we'll see what this January brings.

Think we’ve got a very busy year or so coming up with transfers
Giroud
Luiz
Fàbregas
Caballero
Green
Piazon
Cahill all on free transfers come the summer
Drinkwater
Moses
Morata
Willian
Zappacosta
Plus the countless players out on loan that may well likely be sold with these new rules coming in
Most importantly keeping hazard will be our best bit of transfer business alonf with cho
Then a big rebuild is on the cards which I’m
Looking forward too
Add in Ampadu, mount and James into the mix as squad members replacing, Zappa Cahill and maybe Luiz although with the way he’s playing I’d like him to stay and help aid Ampadu’s cohesion into the first team
Happy so far with the season it’s always going to take time to intergrate new players and a way of playing
But happy new year everyone up the blues.

{Ed002's Note - What new rules are these that will see countless players on loan sold?}

01 Jan 2019 20:01:38
I thought there was new rules coming in where you could only have a maximum of 8 players out on loan or have I got that all wrong?

{Ed002's Note - I have not heard about anythiong like that. Wow.}

01 Jan 2019 20:14:32
I’ve just checked Ed it has said fifa are looking at enforcing that rule because there was an article about how it would affect Chelsea mate.

{Ed002's Note - Gosh.}

Like money, discussing FIFA rules should be a banned topic because it confuses people.

01 Jan 2019 23:59:05
@rj28P a banned topic? What’s confusing about it the details haven’t fully emerged but the process is being talked about and may be implemented in the future.

Ed002, Danny83, there is a catch though.

A club can have unlimited U21 players out on loan who are club-trained.

So, players like Mason Mount won't get affected.
