Defensive Disaster-class
2-0 and we were coasting comfortably. An error and we are now defending a 2-1 lead and change our tactics to defend it.
We come out in the 2nd half in the form of a bus. We could not get a foot hold in the 2nd half and it seemed like Lampard was happy to play on the counter attack at home Vs Southampton. We should have took the game to Southampton rather than letting them get ahead of steam.
I can't keep blaming our bad results to individual mistakes. We are 5 games in and these mistakes keep happening. Where is The management, why can't they address these issues? Its there job. Even when we are winning 2-0 the game is never over. I predicted a draw at 2-0 because I got no faith in our game management.
All I'm saying is Lampard will need to sort this out because I'm sure the Chelsea hierarchy are taking notice of the defensive issues.

Social media is going bonkers call for Lamps to be sacked Shack and you have imagine Roman is just has unhappy as some fans.
Lamps picks the team and decides the tactics so he has to take responsibility for our general performances but I’m not sure what we do about individual mistakes.
I agree it is becoming a very constant theme!

We spent 220m over the summer but not on a central defender where we are obviously lacking. I don't believe Silva is the answer and Mendy may be better than Kepa but that's hardly a compliment.

I was always the first to blame the players and defend Lampard.
However, we are well into the 2nd year and these problems exist. Surely its on Lampard's head now. Its a result game and you've had more than a year to fix this crap BUT its still on show.

I’m seriously pi••ed of as well Shak and to a certain extent I agree with Werner.
I’ve been singing the praises of Zouma and Christensen and today Zouma let himself down. Like MDW I’m not happy we didn’t sign a more long term quality CH but Silva may well end up being a short term solution. Also, like MDW I’m not convinced about Mendy but I hope my concerns are misplaced.
Anyway what about Werner? What a player.

I don’t blame anyone calling for Lampard’s sack cos he’s showing serious naviety and inexperience. This game today shows that Lampard did no homework about Southampton and how they play.
Chelsea’s team has clear weaknesses that everyone knows but as a manager, pick a team that covers up the weaknesses and broach your strength of the team (based on the opposing team) .
