I have said it on here before, Roman is ruthless in the way he runs the club. His view is if he pays a Head Coach millions of pounds each season in wages he expects success, particuarly with the players the Coach has available, and I include loan players and young players in that bracket. If you work for a company and you don't meet your targets you probably won't last long, football management is the same. There seems to be an element of delusion over long term Managers or Head Coaches, long gone are the Sir Alex and Wenger era's, football and in particular the huge amounts of money now involved mean you have to achieve your targets. Sarri, like all the previous Managers will of known his targets at the start of his contract. I guess a return to the Champions League was one of them. I doubt the integration of youth players would of been one. He knows it is top 4 and/ or win the Europa league in order to keep his job. I think he has the players to do it and I hope he does, we need Champions League football to have any chance of competing for the top players. Will he? I'm not sure. Either way, Roman has delivered us fans great riches over the years and must be the envy of a lot of fans of other clubs. He is a winner and the trophy cabinet is proof of that. I guess that is also why the press and pundits are always on the clubs back, pure envy. In Roman we must trust.

Roman doesn’t care much no more mate truth is. We’ve been overtook he doesn’t even try to sort his passport out to watch games. He might as well sell us to a sheikh.

Ranger, I think it’s a bit harsh to say Roman doesn’t care anymore.

He has had issues with his U. K. investor permit but as I understand it he has turned down a substantial offer for the club.

I’m not sure if my description of our club is fair but I would say the whole club just feels just a bit tired.

G8: A fair assessment and he 'has' got the players to get at least 4th but NOT the way he is setting us up, it is not working, the players don't feel it is and as you are probably aware, I think Jorghino is a weakness but he is obsessed with him. During RA's time we have put more silverware in the cabinet than a long time supporter like me could have hoped for BUT there should have been more and the way we boom and then bust indicates the structure below RA is not always pulling in the same direction.

Dunno if I’d say he has squad to get 4th. Rely too much on hazard and a defence that concedes far far too many. United have match winners in rashford Lukaku ( sort of ) martial pogba, spurs have eriksen son Kane Alli, city have sane sterling de Bruyne silva x2 Aguero and Liverpool have mane salah firminho and vvd, I wouldn’t say our squads as good as those,

No where near as good we have hazard and hopefully hugian that’s it goal wise Pedro not good enough why we didn’t get rid of Willian with those mad bids from Spain I will never no take a loss on Jorginho he’s not got it and not suited for prem.

C1955 I do think you are right about the structure below Roman, I do think we need a Director of Football or something of that elk to move forward. I would like to see an ex player who has strong links with both the club and the general footballing world to come in. Ballack, Drogba, Sheva? Someone like that.

Saying we don't have quality for top four finish shows how naive many of us are. I guess you also thought same about Man United before Mourinho was sacked. When a wrong coaching approach is adopted the team becomes weak and ineffective. One thing that creates doubt Sarri for me is his inability to tweak things around especially when it is not going our way. He insists on his only way. A coach must be tactical enough to change things to suit the players available. Remember after 3 games and 3-0 loss to Arsenal Conte was forced to evaluate his methods which resulted in winning runs to the title. SAF was known to tailor his game to fit in his players strength and not always insist on players adapting to his even when some of them do not have such skillset.
Let me say it again, Sarri's future this season is dependent on Kante/ Jorginho partnership. Imo he would prefer to drop Kante to Jorginho. As good as Kante is, he's not exactly his kind of player.
Sarri maybe gone this month if results don't go our way and our fixtures won't help either. You can call it your usual - negative, toxic, etc but Chelsea know their squad strength and know what to expect from any coach appointed. Whether you agree or not, they are very ruthless about it.
