Just watched a 2.5 minute highlight video on Twitter of Lampard in his prime, man the bloke had it all. Scored goals and all types of them, not only that he always popped up with a clutch goal when needed. He also had phenomenal vision and touch, even though it wasn't his biggest strength.

His one possible weakness when compared to Scholes and Gerrard was his defensive awareness but he still did a job when required and adapted his game as he got older, also helps when you have Makelele, Ballack and Essien behind you.

Makes me think what would he be worth in today's market? I'd say he'd be $100m+ easy. Would give anything to have him running around now!

Theres not been another Lampard since the man himself. Greatest midfielder ever in my opinion. From CM he scored a ridiculous amount of goals and made countless assists. He is worth 150+ in todays market in my opinion. Game changer.

The guy is a legend 100% class act was a privilege to see him in a blue shirt look forward to the day he comes back to work at our club.

I’ve never been able to split Lampard, Gerrard, and Scholes. They all had their unique strengths and it’s a disgrace that England Managers couldn’t find a way of accommodating the 3 finest midfielders of their generation.

AJH i agree mate. Even worse when you consider that the same England had Ferdinand, Terry and Cole in defence. And a certain Rooney who was bang in form at Utd. Golden opportunity to win tropies missed.
