Hi Ed002 - this is predicated on the notion the ban is squashed or delayed, so without going into specifics on player names, are you able to give us any indication of the scope of changes Chelsea will look to make this summer (numbers if not positions but I'll push my luck and ask for those too! )

Also as a secondary, is it a bit simplistic to think Chelsea would.

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea are looking to make a number of changes this summer including trying to integrate some of the younger loaners in to the squad. But there will be plenty more players leaving.}

Great to hear that Ed. It'll be great if the deadwood in the team will be replaced by the youth instead of buying replacements of our own. Hopefully that'll mean we can spend more to go for top level players to surround them. Excited to see what happens in the summer especially if the ban is frozen.

{Ed002's Note - There is no deadwood.}

I agree with Ed002 on this. Calling any player deadwood is highly disrespectful. Any player wearing our jerseys and playing for the badge, should never ever be referred to as deadwood, regardless of whether you like the player (s) or nor, or whether you believe they are good enough or not. We should support any and all players at Chelsea period.

Dasilva, James, maybe Tomori, Zouma, and Mount would be good.

Apologies, meant players that we're looking to move on then.

Oh man, that makes me all giddy! Maybe finally we use the talent we have on the books :-)

I love it.

Dazza, I'd say following could definitely play for us:

Mount, James, Tomori/ Zouma (don't think there's space for both of them to return, unless Ampadu is viewed as a midfielder), Abraham and Aina (if he's willing to stay as Torino do have the buy option) . Also of course Pulisic coming back from loan.
Aina would be for left back, but he's played there a lot for Torino this season so should be perfectly fine.

Having those guys back would give us free replacements for Cahill, Luiz, Kovacic, Higuain, Zappacosta, Pedro/ Willian and Emerson (if Reports about him leaving are true) .

Then we can just use our money to spend on a few key acquisitions (top striker, and perhaps a rotational mid for Jorginho and Kante) . Maybe also a replacement for Eden, depending on what happens with Pedro and Willian.
I'd go with Callum, Pulisic, Willian/ Pedro and Eden/ replacement of possible next season. Mount can cover in attack as well while Callum is recovering from his injury.

So all in all I think we only need to buy 2 or maybe 3 players. If we use the young guys we can have a really strong squad with just a few key acquisitions.

{Ed002's Note - You are living in a fantasy world.}

Too much change probably in 1 transfer window. However I don't doubt that those loanees could perform for us and do well.
So maybe I am. Probably even.

But at least it's a happy place :) what's life without a little fantasy to take you away from cold reality.

Ed I was wondering why all of a sudden, we seem to have actually begun using some of our youth players and putting more trust in them? Are they simply regarded as better players, is it because of Sarri being more willing, is it a strategical change from the top of the club or what? I suppose it's probably a mixture, but I was just wondering if there is any significant change to the way it's previously been? :)

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure what you are referring to. This was always the plan.}

Alright, no worries ;)
