Saw something on the United page that Ed002 has replied. Juventus may no longer be willing to sell Pogba in order to be able to keep Vidal. So that looks like a double blow to us. First of all, Pogba won't join Chelsea. Secondly, Vidal will perhaps (probably) join United. Suddenly their midfield becomes one of the best in England (maybe even one of the best in world football). If they sign Di Maria as well, they're quickly becoming the title favourite in my eyes for next season. Such a shame, I'm really gutted

I don't think united will sign both. Don't see how they can afford it and apparently di Maria wants champions league.

How on earth would signing those 2 make them title favourites? So they have no defence whatsoever. Herrera is totally unproven in the premier league. Vidal is no doubt world class and amazing, but other than Herrera and Vidal, they'd have nothing else in midfield. It's going to take a couple of seasons before they're challenging again.
I won't be taking betting tips off you anytime soon ;)
The strength of squad depth at Chelsea and Man City, let alone the strength of the starting 11s are the reason Chelsea and Man City are clear favourites. Wouldn't he suprised to see Liverpool finish above Manchester United too, they're signing some good players and adding depth to their squad!

I realise they don't have much depth, but they don't have European competitions to worry about either. They can fully focus on the league. Vidal and Herrera could prove to be a great midfield pairing, Van Persie (however much I despise him) is a very good striker and their attacking midfield (if they sign Di Maria) would be strong as well with Mata, Di Maria, Kagawa and Januzaj. I admit their defense needs some work, but if they sign Hummels (or another good cb) as they're rumoured to do, then that will go a long way towards fixing the defense.
Okay, maybe I exaggerated a little, but they have a great manager as well. So I really believe they'll definitely be challenging if they can sign a couple more players.

Personally I think Man U are favourites, unfortunately. Given they have an excellent new coach who will galvanise the players but primarily they don't have European football which, irrespective of your squad depth has a huge effect on performances

Plus, Di Maria is 90% going to Paris, so that's one player off your mind.

Manchester United need atleast two/three centre backs to challenge for the league, Vidal would be a great signing but Chelsea has one of the best midfield in the world, imagine if they added Pogba or Khedira

Anyone know the reason why master tactician Van Gaal took Barcelona to 3pts off relegation before being sacked?

United have a big re-building operation and I'm sorry but I don't rate Van Gaal as on the same level as Jose and the World Cup did nothing to convince me otherwise.

I think they'll be back to top four but in two to three years time.

Vidal will choose Barcelona or Real Madrid even has more chances to sign him than MU.
