Hi eds I was wondering if we were still going to sign aranguiz and whether you think we will put a bid in for pedro.
Thanks in advance

{Ed018's Note - I have no idea what's going on with Aranguiz right now I kinda thought a deal would've been done but maybe something changed. A decision regarding Pedro was to be discussed last week. I have no idea what that decision was but it sounds like United is the team making an effort right now for him}

I for one would be happy with not purchasing either.
We're in a position were it should be world class starting quality players only.

PB good to see you back man and I completely agree. Neither player make sense to me as Pedro isn't a vastly superior player to Willian like a griezzman or Reus would be. For aranguiz while he is intriguing I question why the club would be willing to take such a gamble when another club will and we can make the move once we get a better look.

Don't worry mikel is staying! I really don't understand how the club can't see that we must sign a new rw and cm as a minimum.

I still believe Aranguiz will join, but if he doesn't then I hope that the club turn their efforts towards Witsel. Him I'd love with us.

I've never been away just haven't been posting :)
I don't understand our transfer policy at the moment, I love our youth purchases and the link with Vitesse is fantastic, but being liked with average players who are aged 27 doesn't make sense to me!

Last season we were fortunate with very few injuries as our squad lacked depth. Our starting 11 could only be improved by 1 or maybe 2 new players. What we really need is experienced, good level players like Aranguiz and Pedro who would put competition on the rest at a fraction of the cost hence that's why the club are interested in them.

Aranguiz at 26 is a big risk considering he has never played league football outside South America and Pedro a light weight winger who I cannot see tracking back as Mourinho likes; would these two have been on our 'must have' list two months ago? I seriously doubt it and I am another who hopes we do not go down either route.

I just don't see how £40m spent on these two would be adding quality depth. Pedro's stats when he's played in the most dominant team for the last 10 years are very poor. There picking Munir at 17/18 over him. Aranguiz is a complete unknown as well, who from what I have seen is a Chilean Ramires.

If we wanted quality depth go get Vidal for £26m, we don't need Pedro either if Traore and Moses are staying not that I prefer them.

Can anyone clarify to me what the hell is going on with Varane, seems a bit of a joke. We've been linked with the guy for 3 years now, every window we have talks with Real Madrid. He's either for sale or isn't and we either pay the price or not!!
