Hi Ed002,
I hope you are well.

With Pep Guardiola inferring that he has not signed anything in relation to his next club and you confirming that a third offer has been rejected by him, could I ask you if that offer was from Chelsea Ed002?

Have Chelsea as a club been offered any signs of encouragement from Pep Guardiola that he would join them or is the option of Manchester City a forgone conclusion at this point with the executive structure they have in place there?

I would really appreciate if you could shed any light on these to topics Ed002.

Thank you again in advance.

{Ed002's Note - The rejected offer was not from Chelsea. Guardiola and his representatives are aware Chelsea are looking for an new options and ideas for the summer and would be willing to allow a potential new manager to influence the new strategy that is currently being developed. Whilst they would make a very good offer in terms of a package to Guardiola and would pretty much be willing to fund a rebuild, they would still rely heavily on advisers when considering transfers – and he would need to agree to work within that frame work (which actually may suit him well). Certainly possible but Chelsea are going to be continuing to look at a wide selection of options. The rejected bid from England was not from Chelsea.}

I guess city but could be man United. I'd rather it was city's bid tbh as that is the one everyone suspects will come off with sky Germany even saying he's leaving for City so hopefully he comes to a team that plays in dark blue!

Great bit of info ed. If I was a betting mad I would say Manchester United were the club he rejected but luckily I'm not a betting man so I shall say nothing.

Thanks for that update Ed002. It seems from what you say we are in with a chance with Guardiola but are not doing the "putting all our eggs in one basket" thing by not considering other options. This makes perfect sense business wise imo.
Perhaps, if you would, could you provide the reasons for Ancelotti's dismissal. Whilst I realise that that bridge has been burned, I really loved him as our manager and struggled to understand why he was let go at the time.
Thanks in advance Ed002.

{Ed002's Note - The decision was taken between Christmas and New Year that he would leave at the end of the season. I really don't want to get in to the detail.}
