Any truth in this ed002?
Chelsea have made a £21.3million offer for Atlanta star Franck Kessie.
{Ed002's Note - Sort of. Juventus and Chelsea have held a number of discussions with Atalanta over Franck Kessie who has also been watched by Manchester City, Napoli, Arsenal, Liverpool, Monaco, Manchester United and Roma (and probably others) this season and whilst on loan at Cesena last season. Sevilla, who looked to taking Kessie in the summer under the Cotonou Agreement would have the benefit of not having the work permit issue that the English sides would have unless they paid well over the odds for the player - which is likely what will be required after one offer of €24M was rejected. One club has had an ex-player talk off the record with Kessie to determine the amount of interest he would have in a move to England. Could potentially be priced out of the market.}

Hi Ed002, would Chelsea like to sign both Kessie and Bakayoko or are the club just looking at signing one of them?

Kante, Cesc, Matic, Chalobah, and potentially Kessie and Bakayoko. That seems like maybe 1 or 2 options too many to keep everyone happy. Would the club be open to letting one of the current options go (apart from Mikel who'll be leaving either way)?
Sorry for another question, Ed, but I'm curious how they'd try to make it work. Might Fabregas or Matic be let go?

That's one thing I've learnt from you over the years, Ed. I try to remain realistic and be aware that every player can possibly leave at any time.
I was just wondering whether the club already had a specific player in mind that they would look to move on. But I guess all spots are still up for grabs (though Kante might be reasonably sure of staying since he only just got here) .
I'm getting ahead of myself again! Little chance that one of them joins us, never mind both.

Probably, yes. Sorry for that. I'll try and stay away from asking questions as I can get a little too excited during transfer windows.
