Ed001, might not be Chelsea related, but going to ask here anyway as it relates to one of my favorite players right now.

I love Icardi as a striker. There are very few players that can match his intelligent movement and anticipation, and even fewer can match his finishing. He's absolutely sublime at scoring goals, and I've got no doubt he'd be a fantastic buy for any top club.

Now for the question. Ed002 stated that 2 clubs were/ are interested in buying Icardi. Real Madrid appears to be one. Ed001, would you happen to know who the other club is?
I remember a couple of summers ago (might be 2 years ago) that Ed002 said that Icardi was Chelsea's preferred striker target. I didn't get why at the time, but I've started following him since then and it's bloody obvious to me now :-P That's why I'm asking, could Chelsea be that other club interested in buying Icardi?

We desperately need some more quality in attack, that's for sure. So if you could help me out on this one I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, and have a good one, Ed001.

{Ed001's Note - I believe that they are still interested yes, but it is Juventus I think are the other team as they spoke to his wife (who his agent) on a number of occasions about buying him. I agree with you he is a sublime player but he can be a bit of a problem for the team behind the scenes. There are a lot of reasons why Inter are a mess, but he has been one of the biggest dressing room problems all along, even before he stole his teammate's wife.}

Hmm I was hoping he had improved on that part (character) since he's been made captain? Shame.
And do Juve really need to hoard all of Serie A's best players?! They're going all Bayern on their league, buying the other clubs' best players.

I appreciate the reply, Ed. I don't pop by that much anymore since I've started working. But still very thankful for all your knowledge and wisdom over the years.

{Ed001's Note - congrats on the job mate, far more important to earn your living after all. I hope it goes well for you.}

Been working for exactly 3 months now. It's been a tough transition from university life :-P But it is interesting, and it funnily enough it gives perspective. I'm much calmer when watching Chelsea these days. Even when we're getting clobbered by sides like Watford and Bournemouth I'm not getting all worked up. Getting a job made it easier for me to accept that in the end Chelsea winning or losing won't change much :-)

Thanks, Ed! I'll try to pop by every once in a while. You guys remain the football legends ;-)

{Ed001's Note - give it another 3 months and the footie will become more important as it will be the escape from the grudgery of having to earn a living for a change ;-)
