There is no reason why Hudson-Odoi should not start every premier league game till the end of the season. That kid is absolutely class., I'd also make sure Sterling and Emerson play all too. Gutted about Ampadu being injured I think he looks a real leader.

Remember, the youth players are in the FA Youth Cup Final and the European Youth Cup Final so I doubt they/ he will want to risk missing either.

C1955 makes a great point. I don't want to see Pedro come on and underperform any more this season but I think winning FA Youth Cup and Euro Youth Cup will be more important for him than a couple of meaningless EPL games.
Stands a great chance to show he's one of the best at his age in Europe.

I understand KingFrank's comment because I also think Hudson-Odoi is one of a handful that 'could' break through from youth football but given Chelsea's senior performance the club would very much like to win the two most prestigious youth tournaments and they are not going to jeopodise that just so he gets experience, the finals will be big match experience in themselves. The frustration is we are re-cycling the same players week in week out who do the same things, we do not have a game changer.

The other factor is that in order to qualify for next seasons Youth European Cup our kids will likely have to win it this season. He's our best, most influential, player at that level so he will definitely be kept fresh for that. I'd keep him for the youth cups and maybe FA Cup semi.
My only hope is that he doesn't get a pointless loan next season.

I feel Emerson and Ampadu can play in first team and sub role but H. Odoi and D. Sterling needs more experience (can go on loan) .

We bought Emerson to play in the first team but something is amiss as he is getting no game time. Ampadu I like a lot but he is a cornerstone of the youth team so, like Hudson-Odoi he is going to be focused there; I don't see Ampadu anymore experienced than either H-O or Sterling apart from a few fist team games and loaning them 'could' ruin them, just look at Musonda who is going backwards.

Would you rather have Richarlison/ Leon Bailey or H. Odoi/ Musonda for the up coming season if you were to replace Pedro.

Personally, Leon Bailey with Hudson-Odoi in the squad. There is something about Richarlison but his fading makes me think our days of taking chances have passed. Musonda I like but this loan spell has not done him any good and sometimes we loan players once too often and that is often the sign they will not make it with us.

Ampadu's game is more matured for the first team than Odoi and Sterling.

I would like Bailey, Willian, Hazard and Richarlison.
I believe Richarlison is a young man that has played too many games for his age and needs a bit of rest.
For Chelsea squad next season, I pick Richarlison over H. Odoi. Odoi is good with so much potential but for a an ambitious club like Chelsea that needs to hit the ground running next season, Odoi and Musonda needs more playing time elsewhere for their development.

Buying Richarlison over the promotion of Hudson-Odoi! The club don't need to hit the ground running next season, the club need to start building solid foundations for the next ten seasons. Hudson-Odoi will be a massive part of that, and he is very much ready.
Richarlison has faded away this season and is hardly the finished article.

I am guessing that you don't care if Chelsea doesn't qualify for the champions league next cos we will certainly be gambling our qualification if we go into the new season banking on players like Odoi (not cos he isn't good but cos he isn't proven) . I feel we can achieve all 3 goals of:
* building solid foundations for next ten seasons
* hitting the ground running
* Developing the player even more by-
-Sending Odoi out on loan for regular football for his development and bringing in a more experienced player (that must not be Richarlison) . If Odoi good we all claim, then he will take his chance wherever he is to on loan. Please guys consider the opponents you come against in the EPL top six.
