Are the rumours of Abramovich rejecting an approach to sell to Britains Richest man Jim Ratcliffe (Approx wealth £21bn) true?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey BlueisthecolourSW6,

It's unusual that the Newspaper have gone as far as naming names, however it's a newspaper (I use the term news lightly) and considering the newspaper in question I'm calling BS.

It's a story that will get people talking, particularly under the current Political Climate so it's good for business.

There are already Chelsea Fans getting excited about the prospect of an even wealthier person taking over the Club and some of these same people will be kicking off if and when Roman doesn't bankroll Us to the tune of hundreds of millions in the Summer Window. Citing Roman has lost His ambition, He's holding Us back etc etc, blah blah blah.

Anyway onwards and upwards as always.

KTBFFH!

I don't like Chelsea to have a British or Indian owner, I would prefer another Russian or Arabian. I feel English and Indian business men hardly want to spend money - they think profit, profit, profit. That's just my personal take, I like Roman Abrahimovich.

Personally, I feel Roman is the best owner in world football. He really gets what it means to be a fan, is what it feels like to me. Seeing how animated he gets watching us play is really special. Wouldn’t change him for any other owner, even if they were 200 times richer than Roman, it means nothing in times of FFP anyway. Don’t really care about nationalities of owners or whatever, Roman is ours, a true blue.

Totally agree Rowey, Roman is a fantastic owner and has been brilliant for Chelsea. I just hope he doesn't stick 2 fingers up at the UK though over his visa treatment.

I'd be disappointed to see Roman leave. The man bleeds Chelsea now, and I want him to be here for as long as possible. Just saw the rumour and wanted to share it. To top it all off, the reported interested party is a Manchester United fan with a Chelsea season ticket apparently because it's his nearest ground. Doesn't bode well I don't think, so even if it was ridiculous money being offered, I think Roman would reject because of the way he loves the club.

Nothing is absolute cos you can't tell what Roman is thinking. My point is that- If Roman Abrahimovich decides to sell Chelsea (which is unlikely), I would like an owner that wants to invest in the club like Abrahimovich (like Roweycfc said, 'AN OWNER THAT IS A FAN') I made that statement about nationalities based on my experience working with people of certain nationalities and from what I see in football today as a whole.

Yea richer doesn't necessarily translate to willingness to give or release money. So Roman is excellent.
