Whats peoples thoughts on the Courtois situation in the media. He came up with a story of Marina breaking a verbal agreeement which Chelsea have denied and are angry about!

I think Mr Courtois might have a selective memory complex.
Mind you I wasn’t at the meetings but I would prefer to believe the club.

He was paid by Chelsea under contract, if his agreement wasn’t honoured that’s not fair but to go on strike and let down fans and talk about a dream move away at every chance is not on and hope the madridista’s turn on him, plus his now talking about hazard moving over there with him, can’t stick the bloke, I do get how these questions are leading for players but don’t keep talking about our club/ players, worry about your front post and keeping those legs closed.

Strange how footballers are all about contracts, contracts and "my contract says" etc and he accepts a verbal agreement! Probably lashing out because his season has come undone.

He needs to focus on Real Madrid, his happiness could be short lived if he carrys on performing poorly. His too focused on Chelsea despite leaving.
Best case scenario for us here at Chelsea would be if Kepa continues to perform at a high level. Real Madrid would regret not taking Kepa when they had the chance.

As a person, Courtois is taller than his sense of loyalty and talks too much. I think he should shut up and concentrate on the keeping clean sheets cos at the moment he's swallowing goals like aspirin.

From what I read on courtois he didn’t even want to leave athletico. We let probably our best ever keeper in Cech go for courtois to take his place and not reach anywhere near Cech standard. He was so over hyped it’s unbelievable. Yes I agree he is a good goalkeeper but not a great goalkeeper. When the team played well and he only only had to make one or two saves he looked good but when the team had problems that’s when his true ability was there for all to see. I will use David de gea as an example, Utd playing bad yet David de gea is keeping them in games and earning his team upto 20 points a season over the past few years. Courtois doesn’t have the mentality to be a world beater and I’m glad he’s gone.

U didn't add that he's very slow in reacting with his legs, I am guessing that cos of his height, it takes a very long time for information to go from his Central Nervous System (Brain and Spinal cord) to his effectors (hence poor reaction with his legs) .

NWBLUE you have hit the nail on the head with the comparison to De Gea. Look no further than what De Gea did against Spurs and Arsenal. Countless saves. When the team played badly so did Courtois.

Agree Nibby. Kepa all day long for me too. Courtois was a bad bad mistake. He should never have replaced Cech.
