Like most I assumed that Zidane returning to Madrid was a certain catalyst for Hazard definitely going to Madrid in the summer.
There's an assumption that Zidane would have returned on the condition of Madrid signing Hazard, amongst over. But maybe Zidane returned despite Madrid offering no guarantee of following up their interest in Hazard.
If I'm honest, I can't see Madrid weighing out the sort of money we want for Hazard. Not when he turns 29 in the next twelve months. It is not how they have characteristically operated.

He'll go. We can't ask for much given the circumstances and after everything he's done for the club, we should just let him leave. Hopefully if our ban isn't frozen and he still leaves the fans don't think any less of him. He shouldn't feel forced to stay because of the clubs mistakes.

The thing that is overlooked is that Hazard's family (wife Natacha and 3 sons) are settled and happy in the UK. The oldest boy is 9 this year and has grown up in England and has a friendship group established in London. The second boy has just started school. Hazard may well leave for Madrid but the decision will be based on family rather than Hazard's childhood adoration of Zidane.
