We have been heavily linked with Def Antonio Rudiger again today. In a few papers! Ed's any light on this be much appreciated as I do belive cfc are after a centre back this window?

Prefer Stones myself, he was solid again today let's just pay the money he's guna be some player.

I thought we would get Stones this time around but with the Baines injury I cannot see Everton letting him go. Antonio Rudiger is one of the better players we have been associated with but with him being a centre back where does this leave Kurt Zouma unless there are other moves out on the cards.

Zouma is better than Rudiger though. So I don't think Rudiger would alter the plans for Zouma.

At this stage I doubt the only difference being Rudigers big game experience. Someone must be vulnerable if we are prepared to spend £20+m when we are already comfortable in the CB position for the time being.

Look what happened at Swansea wouldn't say we were comfortable at back courtois sending off was a simple ball over top we've got no pace for me, just hope zouma starts against city

I meant comfortable with numbers but I agree I was surprised how sluggish we looked not only at the back but a few of our 'stars' up front although Mourinho in Friday's interview implied as much when he said he should not have let them have a month off.

Everton insist that Stones is not for sale - I think Rudiger is 2nd on the list now that Stones is not available. Shame about Stones but have to admire Everton's stance.
