A question for ED01 if I may. A lot of rumours circulating about Conte losing the dressing room following his treatment of Diego Costa and then David Luiz coupled with his lack of flexibility in training. Do you have any insight into the truth behind the rumours? Thankyou.

{Ed001's Note - there were a few issues with Luiz, where he was banished from the team after he complained about the defensive rotation. However he is not the issue, he is not the type to hold grudges and he does not have the ear of the right people. There has been a longstanding problem at Chelsea with certain players who go behind the manager's back to those above him, complaining about everything, which has done for a few managers now. The problem is that you have one player who has more power than the manager, and that always causes issues as the manager then loses control over the rest. So long as he is happy, everything goes well, but as soon as there is a sticky spell and he is not, you have issues.

This is circle of short term success followed by a need to change manager will continue until players are no longer the most powerful part of the club.}

as evryone on here probably knows im no fan of conte but that is a disgrace that anyone should have to put up with being undermined like that at work
my view no one should be allowed that power at a football club
i have just gone off hazard in 3 seconds flat devastated
i hope we sell him now and he becomes another pawn in a big team like real like bale has become although he probably doesn't warrant it

im no fan of antonios tactics but hazard should take a look at himself
What has he got the cheek to moan about disgusted you know boys football has lost its working class soul
and shak i think your right the board should take a look at themselves leaving a manager out to dry like that is shocking
what gets me is why does know one say anything everything is hush hush even previous managers like jose say something he got you sacked
disgusted if i was there tonight id boo him and i WAS his biggest fan.

Thanks ED01 for the insight. Makes sense as well and starts to explain quite a lot about what is happening/ has historically happened. Player power.

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

I noticed a situation similar to the one before Mourinho's sacking. I'm very concerned the way our club is managed as some none footballing issues tend to always derail our season. Losing very good coaches to power play. The club must back the coaches and allow them control of their job which is the players.
I will be pissed if we let Conte also go for lack of backing as I feel he would have been a coach to build something for long term. Thought we had seen a Mourinho without his baggage. He's has only ask for he should, quality players but they continue to frustrate. Guardiola is doing well now just because he his desired players and not alternatives as Conte has.

Ed might be far fetched but would hazard have a say on transfers
I. e if he said no to a certain player would the club think about it.

{Ed001's Note - he doesn't get consulted for that to happen.}

Thanks for reply ed
What are your opinions on the matter what would you do.

{Ed001's Note - for me I think the key is to back the manager over the players, a bit like when Fergie took over at United. When the players turned on him early on the directors told them he was the manager and sold them, except for Bryan Robson, because Fergie wanted to keep him. They backed the manager totally.

If the club don't feel he is the right manager, then why appoint him in the first place? You certainly don't go listening to players who have their own axe to grind.}

Thanks ed I agree not a fan of his tactics but what a mess CFC have got into
Be very hard to keep hazard now if they backed a manager but I'm sure he knows that.

{Ed001's Note - the alternative is a new manager every couple of seasons...}

That's hard to read for any Chelsea fan. How players can be allowed so much power is beyond me. Following on from what has been said before, it's disgraceful that not only are players complaining about management behind the managers back but also taking out frustration on the fans by producing sub par performances. If they aren't happy then leave, the club is far bigger than any player.

Tbh . the board should really look at themselves in the mirror and ask themselves how they have managed to give a player more power than the coach.

Forget Hazard having a say on transfers ed1, is there any chance that they could make Hazard our next player manager. At this rate they might aswel.

{Ed001's Note - I am sure he wouldn't want that, it is much easier to criticise than to actually do it yourself.}

If this is the case, why not make a statement and drop these players but that aren't playing for the team and manager? Play Ampadu, Hudson-Odio.
