And for the first time in 6 years I’m certain Hazard won’t be playing Chelsea blue again. It’s been coming, but I have to say it stings a bit yeah we could replace him and go on to win the league build a great side, but boy did I have a soft spot for that guy. Hope we go for two or three top players. Personally I’d go for two or three of the players on this list obviously the money we get for him could well be used to strengthen the squad as a whole:

Direct or similar replacements
Dybala
Asensio
Bailey
Julian Brandt
Coman
Draxler

Other positions to further strengthen the squad
Kovacic
Milinkovic Savic
Saul Ninguez

We go on, look at Liverpool after having lost Coutinho they spent his money wisely by investing in the squad not just a direct replacement.

Two from the first list and one of the three in the second for example would be great.

Brandt / bailey should be option anyway to cover Pedro, and hazard leaving not few can come in, Asensio be good, maybe Dembele of Barcelona? Dybala, big name has to come in,

Good post ELI. Eden Hazard is world world class and like you I'm so sad he might go. 1 (in particular) and 1 or more others on here have doubted his class but what do they know? Always negative. Eden, thanks for the memories and hope you stay.

Also noted maybe signing few of these would want to keep him here?

Hazard's words doesn't confirm 100% that he's gone - there's still some ifs. Bottom line is that Chelsea has to show more ambition in the transfer window to keep him or succeed without him.
Courtois' instagram response to Lukaku's post sees him call London his home- I wonder what he means by that.
All hope isn't gone, they might still stay or maybe Hazard alone could still stay on at Chelsea. Fingers crossed.

I think we're pushing it a bit here about Hazard leaving. It's not as simple as Hazard saying or hinting he wants to go and then he gets sold. It's not easy to sign a star player from another club. Sandro, Koulibaly, De Gea, Griezmann etc should be examples.

It won't be easy for Hazard to leave, it's all good and well Hazard hinting many things, however Real Madrid will have to offer something silly for chelsea to even consider selling him, also how will they feel if we say we want cash + Asensio/ Isco It's not going to be easy at all.

We have signed Jorginho and I'm sure many others will arrive and it will be attacking football under Sarri which is what Hazard wants. Surely if Chelsea play hard ball, RM will back off then Hazard signs a new contract or does he risk waiting. Maybe future signings convince him to stay.

Let’s hope he doesn’t but if he does we need two star wingers. Bailey should be here anyway to replace either Pedro or Willlan. If Bailey does come Griezmann or Martial has to be the other.

{Ed018's Note - pretty sure Griezmann has come out and said he will stay at Atletico}

Yeah it was coming and I don't blame him. He could do with a new challenge. The key is to replace him wisely.

Eden Hazard - “We knew already for a while that Sarri was going to become the new manager. If he's a good manager? If he let's me win trophies, yes. Dries Mertens has told me he's a good coach. We'll have to work hard. The Italian way, but we were used to that with Antonio too”

I wonder why the media missed this part out and why everyone is overlooking it!

I personally think that's Eden saving face for if the move doesn't happen Shak, think we all know where he'll be playing if it's up to him and who can blame him? More money, more exposure and more chance of winning the big one! Although as mentioned there will be stupidly high pressure on him to fill one of the best players of all times boots.

Gold post, and I agree Hazard will leave. To be fare to him he could have gone 3 years ago but was loyal to the club.
We will let him go but on current pricing he is around £180-200 million. Courtoise has got to be 40-50. Could have been more but isn’t he in his last year.
Club have put down a marker beating city to jorghinio.
App looks like rugani is coming"
Personally a big fan of dybala and they need to claw back some cash’s.
Interesting 2-3 weeks.

Ed, do you think Chelsea would push to include Asensio in any talks over Eden? Surely Asensio wouldn't like spending another season as a non-starter, and Chelsea would need a top talent to replace Eden.

{Ed018's Note - I feel like it’s been mentioned somewhere on here in the past that Asnesio has been part of the discussions Chelsea and Real Madrid has earlier this summer when discussing Hazard.}

Could be the compromise, pretty sure they value him at £150m or something but he is bound for great things.

I think we need to remeber has Ed002 said on few occasion long ago Chelsea is not a club to stand in the way of any player who wishes to move, if the player is happy and the club get a reasonable deal the player is always allowed to go and rightly so no point keeping somone around who’s heart is elsewhere there only humans. It’s his dream to play for Madrid we’ve had 6 very fortunate years andnare going to make an astounding profit I should imagine if he goes now which I think. Most likely I can only wish him and Courtois nothing but the beat.

Why don't Chelsea show 'that ambition' first by adding Leon Bailey to the squad first as it is now and see how it affects Hazard's decision to leave. Whether he stays or goes we must spend on quality players to be successful. If this is Hazard's way of making the club show more ambition in the transfer market, I am completely with him.
